1. its difficult to prove obviously but it is an original 60's body that has been refinished black, this franken p was put together in the netherlands in about 1975, i got it from the original owner and added the darkstar, replaced the electronics (it came with some kind of "q-filter" electronics that are popular with country guitarists to thin out the sound, obviously it had no right being on a bass!)

As to the sabre, im not sure, ive had a few musicmans over the years but ended my love afair after a pretty dissapointing sounding sterling!

  2. These basses are now for sale, financial woe meens i can no longer hang about so im offering these here on their way to evilbay..

    1 - Reverend Rumblefish PJ -750 ono

This is a great bass, they are becoming increasingly sought after these days and rare on these shores.. This is a black early model that has been changed to a P/J By the addition of a G&L SB precision pickup, i also added a series/ parrallel pull / push pot on the volume to get the great fat sound that the XL series became known for, it comes with a spare pickguard and the original removed Jazz pickup so you can change it back into a J/J configuration..

    2 - Fender Darkstar Franken P -750

A black fender p body (60;s refin) with a 1972 jazz neck (the rare maple / black blocks and binding version) the neck has been defretted and refretted. The pickup is a darkstar, a great sounding pickup with amazing dynamic range, search threads on here or talkbass for details.. The Bass is currently fitted with a Hipshot/Graphtec Ghost Bridge and the midi hexpander so its fully wired for GK midi but i will likely remove these and sell separately... Everyone who plays this bass loves the slim and comfortable neck, not only does the darkstar sound great but the midi stuff drives a Vbass system like no other, you can also buy a curcuit that makes use of the pzetso bridge.. the photo above show the bass with midi stuff fitted, without it looks more like this,,

    3 - Fender 1975 precision neck, rosewood 350

Great condition, a nice slab of rosewood, really great to play, tuners not included.

    4 - Fender 1977 precison body, fully loaded 250

A stripped fender body with some routing that is covered by a pickguard, loaded with a wizard thumper precision pickup and a wizard '84 jazz pickup, anodised gold pickguard..

Get in touch if you have any interest in these,

  3. yes, as stated i was away, in india, my hope to ship the pedals before i left were scuppered by last minute visa nightmares (anybody ever had to stand in THAT line?) i had intended to write to sshorepunk as soon as i got to india but couldn't remember my password and couldn't get into my account through the email informing me that i had a personal message, it kept saying i had no access rights..

Anyways, all paid for pedals will be shipped out tomorrow, all unanswered PMs will also be replied to, my thanks to kingforaday for helping clear things up when i couldn't, my public apologies also to sshorepunk although in defence of my honesty, replying to his PM was the first thing that i did when i got in after the 10 hour flight and 3 hour drive, before i even made a cup of tea!

    £offers

    4- E/H Bassballs- SOLD

5- Loooper Custom True Bypass Strip- . SOLD

  6.
That bass is truly stunning! I'm in love!
me too, since this photo the neck has been replaced with an all gonvalo alves neck and the bridge was changed for a badass III and i finally swapped the 4 hole control plate for a three hole one, i should take a more recent picture and post it..

  7.
I'm quite interested in the looper but how are those momentary switches - are they plastic? They look a bit weak.
Hey there,

the momentary switches are the same sturdy construction as the other footswitches with a rubber cover over the top, the switches are metal..

  8. i was thinking £200 ono for the neck a new one costs around £350 with taxes etc..

The fretless is a black korina body, also Warmoth, the pickups are Dark Stars and Baddass 2 bridge..

The bass now has a Goncalo Alves jazz neck and a badass 3 bridge, i will put a pic up as soon as i take one!

Its not a light bass but its not as heavy as my precisions..

  9. NOW SOLD

This is a lined fretless with a maple back and rosewood fingerboard, the width is similar to a precision bass and works as a direct replacement.. The neck has a vintage tint gloss finish and a great smooth feel.
For me I just prefer a jazz bass profile but I loved the double bass like quality that my bass had with this neck on, I have a jazz profile neck on my fretless now and I have to admit that although I find it more comfortable I miss the greater depth of sound that this neck used to give the bass..
The neck is in great condition with only a couple of marks on the fingerboard from the usual wear of roundwound strings, there is a nut ready installed and it comes with Schaller tuners so it really is ready to go!

Heres a picture of it while still attached to the rest of the bass..

  10. Having a big clear out so the following are up for sale... I will add better descriptions, photos etc but just wanted to get the ball rolling!

    AMPEG B25B Cabinet.. £450 ono

This is and original 1970s 2 x 15 cabinet that has been restored to its former glory using parts from Fliptops.com by the previous owner.. There are a couple of minor scrapes to the tolex but apart from that this is a brand new looking 70s cab if that makes sense! The speakers have been upgraded too so the cab can take the output from an SVT or other modern amps..
The sound is big deep and vintage, i used it with an old SVT and it sounded amazing..
This is a normal sized 2x15 cab but is very light to carry its easy with two and still possible with one..
I've since got hold of a Bergantino NV215 so i cant really justify keeping this and need the space!

CROWN Xs 500 POWER AMP... £200 ono

An excellent power amp, has never let me down, I used it with an aguilar db659 and the power and headroom was more than enough for any situation, even outdoor gigs that had minimal PA support..
Although I primarily used this as a bass amp, I have also tried it as a PA amp and it worked well with plenty of power and clarity..

Specs wise it pumps out 500w per channel at 4 ohms, 400w per channel at 8 ohms or you can bridge it for a mono output of 1400w

    LINE6 Lowdown LD150 Combo...£150

A great sounding 150w combo with 6 different amp models and 3 effects going into a 12" speaker, also has a built in tuner...
The amp also has a good direct out and kick back design so you can angle the cab for better on-stage monitoring.

    ELECTRO HARMONIX BASSBALLS..£30

The classic envelope filter, a lovely old example with mojo..

    TRUE BYPASS LOOOPER...£60

Custom built true bypass strip with tuner out and 3 independent effects loops.. two of them have a switchable mode where the effects are turned on for the duration that you press down the button rather than the standard switching..

I will add to this listing bit let me know if there is any interest!

  11. i have a fender franken p midi bass with a ghost bridge installed i am thinking of selling..it has a '71 jazz neck, 60's p body (black refin), darkstar pickup, extra volume for midi..
