  1. Thanks for all the nice comments about my track. There were some terrific tracks this month. Blimey, if was a close thing, eh?

What a shame hardly anyone on the forum seems to know about the competition... or maybe they do know but are not interested in listening to other people's music and don't feel like voting? Who knows? Anyway, as far as I'm concerned it's what it's all about in the end: making and producing music...not 'what strings do you use?' and all that stuff!

I'll sort out a photo this evening for December. I've noticed several requests to avoid Santa so I'll bear that in mind...

  2. I'm thinking of killing two birds with one stone and purchasing this to use both with my bass and new guitar.

The main problem with recording the guitar at home is the lack of brightness, and generally dull sound so I'd mainly want it for a tonal boost and a bit of edge. Then I'm hoping it would also be useful for the bass.

Do you think it'll be okay for dual purpose?

  3. As you can see it's a very simple setup with my mascot chicken taking up prime position, permanently perched on a speaker. I knew when I spied him across heaps of tangled wires, remote controls and broken children's toys at the Deptford junk market all those years ago I had to save him. He watches over me and I look after him. We're like brothers.

It's just a Mac running Logic into an EMU 0404 (so I guess I have a chicken and an emu!). No mixer - don't need one as the 0404 is so well designed. There's a Roland cube nestling under the desk. I've had the same amp and speakers since 1988.

Close up of the creative force behind my music:

Also going with the "spooky wedding" vibe, I humbly present the following for your consideration:

Witty and theatrical with a modern touch from the guitars. :)
