Hi Dave,
These ones do have the routing gap around the pickup, so not pretty without the scratch plate sadly?
Neck fit is incredible, it stays in without screws!
Cheers,
James

Am I out on valuation? If so, do try me with an offer!

Seen something I wants (the precious!) so would consider an offer on this for a collection this weekend. Trades for Fenderish stuff most welcome.

Thanks @cascanicoff - it’s a beaut alright, feels amazing too and the Nordstrands are crazy good!

Yep, Gordon Smith about 20 years ago...custom order, my exact specs...and I hated it!

Hi everyone,
This is my 'old' Japanese Fender Jazz. I put ‘old’ in quotes as it is, quite - I’m just not sure how old!
When I bought it I was told 1986 but I think that number on the neck says 1991/1992 which I think tallies with the serial, apologies for the smudge on the picture (grubby hands!)
Anyway, what it IS, is a lovely thing. Battered, bruised and clearly full o’ stories. It sounds HUGE and has a warmth and mellowness to it that took me by surprise. Nut has been repaired but it’s solid. It’s just had the frets dressed - all level now and buzz-free with a good action. I had originally thought it may need a re-fret but was very pleased once they were all levelled as although they are low this makes for a silky feeling playing experience.
Certainly interested in trades for another bass, an active jazz (maple neck preferred) would be awesome and I’d rather deal face to face if possible...I’m based in Malvern but Evesham, Cheltenham and Swindon are my regular work haunts. I'd need cash my way though as the name of the game is to free up some £££ or I wouldn't be selling.
Any questions just yell, I have gone a bit bananas with the pics in the hope it gives you all the info you need!
Cheers,
James

Another lockdown project, now has the headstock reshaped, Fender bridge and CTS pots!
Also fitted a lovely set of Nickel machine heads.
Just strung with a new set of Flats, this has ‘the thump’ for sure!

I always find EMGs to be excellent pickups, I doubt you can go wrong!

price drop
Hi all,
Got this in a trade and whilst it's a pretty awesome little thing, I'm interested to see what else is out there for trade, or possible sale.
It's got some scratches, marks on it etc. but nothing hideous. The neck has some marks (slight discolouration) but strung up you don't really notice (or feel) it but I'd rather disclose for completeness!
If trading, we'd need to be face to face (distanced, of course) so Swindon, Cheltenham, Evesham, Worcester all doable as I get around with work) but I would prefer a sale.
Postage at cost, but I've no case so we'd either need to buy one for it (G4M foam case at £45) or risk neck off postage.
Cheers,
James
