  1. Hey! Sorry I missed your message, we are indeed open as normal for the rest of the week
  2. They're great! We met Jake yesterday and he's going to send us a couple of his basses to sell. The B90 pickup is cool, and he makes it himself! Not sure on prices yet, we'll post them up on our site as soon as we know
  3. Hi all, Charlie here! I think it's fair enough that you all should know what we do for the 15% commission we take... So here you have it! - We have all items on display in our central London shop for customers to try, this takes away the stress of having to arrange viewings etc - We list each item on our website, on Reverb (which also sends a feed to Google Shopping) and we also post on our social media pages which has a combined following of almost 15,000 people - We take professional, hi-res photos of each item (and that's no quick job I can tell you...) - Each item is fully insured - Each item is offered with a full complimentary setup - Each pre-owned item has a 3 month limited warrantee - We offer free UK shipping over £100 which costs us over £20 to do for each item - If we know of a potential customer for your item we will get in contact with them - We have been in this business for over 25 years! Let me know if you have any more questions, hopefully I can help!
  4. Excellent point and one we hear quite often. We do like to keep our sold stock on the website as it can give you an idea of the kind of stock we've had in the past (some people also just like the bass porn), however I do agree that it can clutter the website. Behind the scenes we're currently working on some tweaks to our website which will hopefully solve this problem!
  5. I know there's been confusion over the buzzer system we have so let me explain that. All three of us work down in the basement so the upstairs part of the shop is often unmanned and due to being in a busy part of London with a high crime rate we have keep the door shut! However we'll ALWAYS answer the door if you ring the buzzer! Or if you can't find the buzzer just knock and we'll rise from the bass dungeon to let you in
  6. Sorry to hear that! I hate the thought that people have had negative experiences at the shop. Of course, being in retail (and ultimately being humans!), there are going to be times where things go wrong but that's not what we're about at all! We pride ourselves on customer service and would always hope that our customers tell us if they are unhappy with the service that they receive. We're always open to suggestions on how we can improve our business and that's one of the reasons why we're now active on BC.
  7. Hi TheGreek, No idea why it was still listed, it certainly wasn't our intention to make it look like we had sold it. I've now removed the bass from the site. In regards to the dent, we apologise for that. We take great care of the instruments we have for sale in the shop and try our best to ensure they're handled with care by our customers. Unfortunately however, on rare occasions things can get damaged but if they do we will do everything we can to either repair the damage or resolve the problem in another way. In future, please do point out any damages out at the time so we can deal with it accordingly. Regards, Charlie
  8. Hello BassChat! Charlie here from The Gallery... Since BassChat is where you're all hanging out these days we thought we'd join in on the fun and start our own thread! We'll be keeping you up to date with new stock, shop news and all that jazz. This is also another way for you to reach us with any enquiries! If you've never heard of us, this is who we are and what we're about: We're a bass specialist shop situated in Camden, London. The Gallery opened in 1993 and since then has been London's largest bass-only store. We have a huge selection of basses, amps, effects and accessories (new, pre-owned and vintage!). The basement (bassment?) of the shop is home to Sei Bass, which comprises of top luthiers Martin Petersen & John Chapman. They build wonderful custom bass guitars and offer a long list of workshop services. Below are a few pictures of our shop plus a couple of photos of Sei Basses so you can get an idea of what we do... That's it from me for now but I'm sure you'll be seeing more of me on BC from now on! Love, Charlie & The Bass Gallery crew.
