  1. Hi @Christine, thank you for the feedback. I am not at basschat.co.uk so often, so I missed the info before I ordered it! Anyway, I can confirm what you wrote, absolutely. It is a really good neck I got. It has a beautiful grain and the frets are really good - sure there will be the need of doing a dressing at the end, but I have to think about which style I should go on...
  2. @petetexas I am looking for a Maple Neck in a tinted yellow vintage finish, and I found one at www.northwestguitars.co.uk Could you tell me something about how the the frets are finished? Are there any sharp edges? Are they pressed in and glued perfectly? And for the heel - do you remember if it is 62mm at the widest point? I would like to get some more information before I will put an order from UK to Germany - becasue I think a return will be much more expensive. It would be great to get some feedback from you! Best regards, Marius
  3. Sunburst only if Mark gets a Sunburst painted body. My Jazz Bass is Olympic White over 3TS. He told me that he got the body somewhere else, not made by his “wood guy“
  4. If this bass is what you are looking for, I have good new for you @LewisK1975. It is for sale in a german / swiss bass forum here is the link: https://www.bassic.de/kleinanzeigen/limelight-bass-2016.16391/ I'm sure that the seller can answer you in english. Good luck!
  5. I asked Mark to do a side mounted jack for my PJ as it is in your blue PJ, but somehow he forgot this and my PJ came with the jack and the three knobs on the pickguard - we found a good agreement to solve this issue. Right now I have a BassXX 2 band preamp in the bass, so it has two stacked knobs. I really like "activating" old-style basses, so I asked Mark for an addiational routing for the 9V battery.
  6. It is possible, yes. He wrote me that Fender licensed or Fender genuine parts are used.
  7. @knicknack sorry for the late reply, for sure you can use the pics, but if you want, i can send you some more. I just follwed you at instagram, in my profile are some other pictures as well search for @mulhofa Best regards, Marius
  8. So, there it is … my next Limelight the 00211: This time it's a Custom Precision Bass. Alder body, nitro cellulose paint in sonic blue over olympic white, one piece maple Jazzbass neck, Gotoh vintage reverse tuner, light relic. I am blown away … Mark build this the last weeks. Sounds prefect with DR Pure Blues strings and its Limelight Pickups. For sure it got the right logo on the headstock .
  9. I asked Mark which kind of necks he can offer. In terms of Jazzbass there is only one he can apply. It is standard Jazzbass width of 1.5" (38.1mm) on the nut. The profile of mine is much closer to an oval C-Shape than tp an U- or a modern C-Shape. I really like thin and slim necks like the Geddy Lee or the Squier Classic Vibe 60s ones.
  10. Hi Everybody! I am new at basschat.co.uk and came here because I googled for Limlight basses. Some months ago I threwing my PJ Bass made by a german luthier (Herbert Müller from Cologne) into the market to sell or trade. And now I got this beauty out of a trade: Limelight 00203 - a '64 Jazzbass, Olympic White over Sunburst. The picture is taken from Marks website, so credits to him. It took some time to get familiar with the neck shape, but now we are bound in blood. This thing sounds really fantastic. Last week I put out an order to build a Limelight PJ Bass in Sonic Blue and a Maple Neck ... now I have to wait until the new PJ will arrive. For sure it will wear Marks Logo on the headstock instead of a 7ender Decal. Best regards from germany, Marius
