Trace Elliot AH300-7 Amp

Both the Amp and Cab have been re-tolexed and the closest way to describe the finish would be to say that it looks as though a large blue snake swallowed a Trace Eliot rig. Needless to say, it looks awesome!!... Providing you like to ROCK!!!

The AH300-7 is a top quality, English made amp with some very nice features such as; 

· 7 band graphic eq preamp

· Built in adjustable Compressor

· Pre-shape switch

· Passive/Active inputs

· Effects send/return

· Balanced D.I.

Another cool little feature is the gain led meter that lights up to show when you are running the gain too high, too low or just right... I thought that was pretty nifty... All Goldilocks and what-not!!

The graphic eq can dial in some amazing tone and can also be bypassed should you choose to keep it simple and not take advantage of all that lovely Trace Eliot rich eq mastering...

On the back it's pretty straightforward, you got the mains input, the on/off switch and two speaker outputs that operate with standard ¼ inch “jack" instrument cable. 
Minimum load is 4ohms.

The Cab is a 4x10 400W @ 8Ω Trace Elliot behemoth that weighs in at roughly the same weight as a classic 1960's mini cooper. If you are blessed with the strength of ten men (as I am) this is a one-man lift however, if you are an average puny mortal, this cab is certainly not something I can recommend hauling around on a regular basis... unless, of course, you have a very attractive chiropractor whom you would like to visit more often...b

Cab has recessed handles on‘t' side and rubber feet on‘t' base. Dimensions of cab (including feet) are;

Height = 71 cm

Width = 62 cm

Depth = 43 cm

Everything is working as it should and all sounds fantastic!! The stack had been sat around a while and there were some initial crackles when I first plugged it  & played through.  I have since; opened the  head unit (very carefully) cleaned the connections and cleared fine dust with light air CPU airspray. Also opened rear connection input panel at rear of cabinet, cleared dust and cleaned contacts. Another play through, and now the Blue Snakeskin Bass Rig Behemoth Battle Stack is now primed and ready to Attack, noise free...  👍  .... until you start playing through it...  

There's a small piece of missing plastic from one of the port covers at the front of the cab (pictured) Also, a covering cap is missing from the gain switch on the amp (pictured)

The front panel of the amp lights up, which is pretty “rock ‘n' roll" and also features a carry handle so looks like a fancy blue reptile skin briefcase when being held... amp weighs in at 12.4kg. So most puny humans should be able to lift the amp at least...

Dimensions of Amp (with feet) are:

Height = 15 cm

Width= 50 cm

Depth = 43 cm

I imagine if you want this rig couriered you'd be looking at roughly £2000 so it's collection only or part meet unless you got a spare £2k you wanna throw at it...

In regards to parting with unused music gear (or unused anything for that matter) I'd say “Do it!".  If it's gathering dust and you really can't see yourself finding use for it in the near future then let it go and clear some space... Not just in your home but in your head... Less possessions = Less obsessions (that's a TTL3 original, right there!!) 

With the exception of something like Churchill's Jazz Flute or Einstein's Fender P Bass, I would imagine that most any popular music item would be “relatively" easy enough to acquire again should your life become meaningless in its wake...

I got the “Beldray Cordless Window Vac".  Not quite musical but certainly produces a better sound than my bass playing (at least to the partners ears).

Also works wonders removing the moisture from Windows, Glass and Mirrors!!!   “WOOP, WOOP!!!" Ideal for clearing early morning condensation, misted car windscreens and steamed up shower rooms!!!

My prayers have been answered!! It truly was a Christmas miracle!! 

I also got this “Darkglass" plectrum that came with a free gift....

I think it's a fancy doorstop...

Pretty much any of the instruments that I currently have up for sale in the marketplace forum 

feel free to look and purchase at your leisure.

I also find that helium balloons attached to the strap locks at each end of the bass guitars body helps alleviate some of the instruments weight... Also gives better stage presence and can be gifted to audience members after the show with the purchase of a t-shirt and CD! 

Alternatively, you can take it to the next level of weightlessness and have an instrument made entirely from balloons...

Here's what I currently perform with, as modelled by the lovely Clarissa...

Sightly more strings than I'm used to but the reduced weight really makes up for this...

Parting company with bands is my forté;

Would you believe that I've actually joined and left 9 separate bands this weekend alone?..

Believe me when I say; joining and leaving bands builds character and improves your overall musicianship!!

As a veteran in letting others down, I find the best way to get what you want is by manipulating others to get it for you and have them believe that it was their decision to do so....

In the case of wanting to leave a band I would never “quit" as this would be admitting defeat! Instead, I might simply break-out into 7 minute long improvisational jazz bass solos during each song of the set or insist on using an effects pedal train of phasers, wahs, envelope filters, fuzz and delays to recreate classic children's nursery rhymes and Ed Sheeran songs.

In addition to this I might critique the other band members playing techniques and insist that the singer gets singing lessons and that the drummer play Djembe...

The above methods are fool-proof (believe me) and will get desired results within days if not hours!!

For good measure you might consider turning up to shows like this........

(Please note: dressing like this will have no effect if you perform in a mariachi band)

“RIGHT!!"  A single comment about my instruments for sale and the accuracy & legitimacy of their covering stories is one thing but this is starting to become a witch hunt!!  

I cannot help that Tony Franklin, Ian Hill and Ernie Ball Musicman all took Bass Guitar lessons and Spanish lessons from me and in return they gave me 15% of their royalties for everything they ever do and also an instrument as a memento and token of gratification for all the amazing secret awesome bass techniques that I taught them.

If anything I should be asking triple what I am for these instruments because of the provenance that goes with them...

Just give me a minute and I will back it all up with certificates...
