Biffy 'F**king' Clyro - Tiny Indoor Fireworks - Bass by me and other elements of the track a mixture of guitar, Midi and keys.
Sandberg - Grand Dark (Orange Limited - 35" Scale). Into Neve RNDI and then UA Ampeg SVT
The inspiration behind this is my love of Biffy. During lockdown, this song was a regular on my playlist and I just love the bass part and thought, I must learn it, record it. Although I took it one step further, got the midi files for the drums and other parts and went to work producing what became a labour of love. The Bass part was well rehearsed and played in one take (after many attempts) but I didn't want to cut and edit the part. I completed it 2-weeks ago so the timing of this comp is freakishly funny.
My interface is the RME ADI-2 Pro and i used the Neve RNDI into the RME and then through Universal Audio's SVT. I used my Sandberg Grand Dark. One of the 40 limited Orange versions from 2019.
Other basses I own.
Fender Ultra Precision (Mocha Burst)
Sandberg 47 Hardcore Relic
Sandberg TT4 Masterpiece
Sandberg VM4 Hardcor Relic
Sandberg Panther Special (Bocote top).

Of course mate, you’ve played mine. 😁

Very similar to mine although mine has the maple fingerboard and block inlays.
Anyone looking to buy @Quasar79’s masterpiece WILL be getting a stunning Instrument. Sandberg Masterpieces basses are exceptional and as I have one along myself with 2 Hardcore Aged and 2 newly finished ones I can honestly say the Masterpiece is on another planet, no universe.

So last Saturday I ended up in Guitar Guitar in Glasgow and tried this:--
and now I want one. Don't need all of the hardcore aging, thanks - I can cause my own damage well enough!!
However, the sound of this was everything I need from a bass guitar.
They are fine basses.

@Cuzzie Must admit that I agree with @Opticaleye on G&Ls! My L2500 is strung with nickels, and I generally favour more vintage-orientated gear like Aguilar or tube hybrids which may help, but have never found it too toppy. I love the gooey P-bass like tone using the neck pup in passive, and the general versatility of sounds available. I agree that those MFDs are hot and takes a bit of volume knob riding if you want a more conventional passive tone. I just wish G&Ls were more numerous, and a bit more generous in the fiver string spacing. For comparison, as much as I love the Stingray tone, I find that too mid-heavy and zingy for my own tastes!
Back to Sandbergs though! I'm definitely keen to get my hands on a TM2 now!
The TM2 will as @Cuzzie says, ‘bring balance to the force’. He recently played my TM2 which is now fitted with the Sandberg Black Label pickups. I think he was quite surprised by how nice it was. I even said to @Cuzzie that of my 6 Sandberg’s the TM2 is probably my favourite.

I am surprised that this hasn't been snapped up at that price.

Haha, yes I remember this one on Classic and Cool at the time. Very nice bass. Good luck.

@Muzz so you don’t like relics. I think you’ll find there’s a huge market for them and lots of people love them. They like the fact they don’t worry if they ding it. Plus it’s just a finish. Yes, a finish! It’s not an attempt to fool anyone there old or vintage. It’s an aesthetic!
I don’t like black basses, but I don’t whinge about it at every opportunity.
I know several player (relic haters too) who have sold basses that are less than 6-months old because they had a small ding, an imperfection. Crying at their beautiful things being scratched. It’s sad and hilarious.
Bring on the relics I say, we play hard and don’t give a sh*t.

Just heard from Bass Direct
TT4 will be £1475, and there is a 5 string at £1599
TM4 at £1495 and the TM5 at £1625
That sounds pretty damn good to me!
That’s not bad at all.

How old since it was new? Just curious as they are only £850 brand new! If reasonably young could be a good deal?
Assume as no case, the case candy, hang tags etc are not with it?
Thanks in advance.

What’s the build year? Notice it’s the old shape, old tuners and cannot see a serial on the rear of the headstock?
Also, are the dings on the back of the neck really obvious to the touch. Difficult to see the depth from the photo. You state fair share of wear and tear but the photos really don’t show this in any detail or clarity so is a more risky proposition. Can you give more details of better photos of the areas of wear, dings, dents and scratches. For a non-relic’d Sandberg bass, the level and type of wear really does set the price, especially as i’ve seen younger Sandbergs with very little wear go for £800 and less. Before assessing the price I need more info.

Ben bought the Tech 21 dUG pedal from me and despite a rather farcical series of failed delivery attempts by UPS, all went through smoothly in the end. Ben was a pleasure to deal with and we had great communication all the way through the process. One of the nicest guys I have ever dealt with.

Sorry but that's not how it works. With a zero fret equipped instrument the correct height at the first fret is set by the height of the wire used for the zero fret. No decent manufacturer, tech or luthier would ever file grooves into a zero fret to lower the height.
‘Decent’ manufacturer! Well the majority of Sandberg users would agree they are decent. You’re showing your good old luthier snobbery there! Who are Manton Customs? Just curious!

Beautiful Fender Precision Professional. New in May 2017. (Neck and Body Build Date - Jan 11th 2017 on US16 Serial).
9.8/10 Conditional is exceptional. Never gigged. Home studio usage only. Includes all case candy, hang tags and elite hardcase.
Reason for selling is that I have 4 Sandbergs and one of my basses has to go.

Bass player with home studio, remixer for Pop Will Eat Itself and others. In a project band with Perry Ap Gwynedd (Pendulum), Jason Bowld (BFMV) and James Atkin (EMF).
I have a trio of Sandbergs and a Fender Precision Pro. These are my studio workhorses.
An absolute Sandberg fan. Although I always have a soft spot for Fender Precision’s.
Love to interact with other like mind people.
Sandberg love!
