Is this the version with the angled can?
-
I’m loving my stomp, I’ve downloaded some IR’s and presets from 3 sigma audio which are an improvement on my own creations, (even with the help of John Willis), and it interesting to see how they have set up their presets, the greatest challenge I’m finding is honing in the the right eq. I find the 3 sigma presets have far too much treble, whilst my own had too much bass, and whilst I think I’ve got it balanced through headphones or on my amp at home, in the practice room I’m either mushy and can’t be heard, or again have too much treble.
The problem is not the pedal, it’s awesome, I think getting the eq right takes more trial and error than a pedal with less power and dynamic options to try.

I just levelled up this weekend and went from HX Effects to Helix LT.
Initial impressions: Wow.
Firstly the unit is actually slightly more compact than I was expecting, and I've immediately lost several hours over the last weekend working on tones, but found one of the 'SVT bright' factory presets (which had a LA comp and EQ block after) was a great starting point as I was initially a little daunted.
I then loaded a quick loop at the start of the chain to test various drive pedal options and surprisingly landed on Kinky Boost, Teemah and Vermin to deliver the 3 gain stages I was after. I expected to land on the Obsidian, Scrambler or BDDI but none of them did it for me. I was a little disappointed with the Muff sound.
I plan to run it into the effects return of my Rumble 500 combo for rehearsal and stage monitoring and DI the Helix to FOH for live.
Are there any simple quick tips a full modeler-noob will appreciate?
I find Teemah the best option for most kinds of dirt, awesome effect.

She’s a beauty, only gets flats on her these days, need to look after those 47 year old frets!

Cheers Cameron. Looks like Gator have a good solution with the Multi-FX 1110 Bag. It's listed as fitting the HX FX.
I bought this, it’s a good fit and there’s also enough room for my wireless system and a small foot pedal

Have just got myself a line 6 pedal with a whole boat load of effects so this rather wonderful valve drive with two channels is rather reluctantly for sale.
Channel one does lovely fluffy tubiness, whilst channel two cranks the gain somewhat, you can then blend the two channels in either parallel or in series.
Comes with the original box, instructions and power supply.
will post for £10
Excellent condition
priced to sell at £150 plus postage

I’m probably being a bit stupid, however!
im trying to figure out how to connect my stomp to the PA and to my amp at the same time, I understand that I need to change the output from instrument to line level and run a TRS to XLR for the pa, however I need to run instrument level out to the amp and it appears as though you can’t alter the output of both left and right separately, the are either both line or instrument level.....
im probably being a bit thick but any explanations are much appreciated.

Thinking of pulling the trigger on a stomp, before I do just so I’m clear, when doubling up am I able to have my Jazz bass and double bass connected at the same time via the left and right inputs, with different levels and effects on both of them?
Also has anyone had any problems connecting to the pa via the TRS to XLR connectors?

Excellent combos these, I’m still wondering why on earth I ever sold mine.....
Mesa boogie Walkabout 15 price drop SOLD
in Amps and Cabs For Sale
Posted · Edited by Creeper
Selling my rather exceptional Mesa boogie walkabout 15, 4 ohm version which gives you the full 300 watts straight into the rather spectacular 15 speaker, ive never needed to but apparently these can drop down quite happily to 2 ohm if you want to add an extension cab. In very good condition and also comes with Mesa cover.
This gets very loud and has a beautiful tube tone which breaks up nicely as you increase the gain, the head can be removed by taking out a few screws and used as a separate. One of the best combos out there.
