I only had one bass for years and years, and only got a second one cos the first one needed a refret.

Got the Toy Matinee album thru last week from US. Took 3 weeks to deliver.
Fantastic album. If you don't already have it you should give it a listen on Youtube.

I’m flippin’ addicted to it. I have to ration myself, it’s that good.

That bridge! Very pleasing on the eye.

Excellent price for a great bass

‘What makes this song great’ is the best thing on ‘tinernet. Totally watchable, and whilst he’s no virtuoso he’s a ridiculously talented musician. His enthusiasm is such a pleasure to soak up.

He is and they are unfortunately. Some classy music consigned to the bin by sniffy music journalists and Spotify listers. 😒
Always thought of the Crusaders as 'New-York' sounding.

Like the look of that - and it restored the household harmony 😄

I used to own a 70s spaced pickup jazz and currently own one with the 60s spaced pickups. Ok definitely prefer 60s spacing. It's less nasal and the string tension is reduced there, making plucking more comfortable (really!)

What a man and what a player. Lovely to see a pro stuff up too. Makes me feel ever-slightly-better about my own playing.

Supported these guys at O2 Newcastle a while back. Great band.

Stereophonics - Utilitia Arena, Newcastle upon tyne last night. Superb all round gig, i.e.;
- Great set of songs
- Decent sound and staging (except the bass wasn't prominent enough)
- Band looked pleased to be there and appreciative of the support
- Good vibes from the crowd

Building Services Engineer (mechanical) I'm sure #MEP will recognise the title. I design heating, hot and cold water, ventilation and air conditioning systems mainly for commercial projects and industrial projects. Been doing it since 1985 and still enjoy it. Every project and design team (client, engineers, architect, structural engineer, quantity surveyor, project manager etc) is different.

Really saddened by the news. Never felt quite so affected by news of the death of a rock star. Got into Rush in the mid 80s and they've influenced me to this day. Amazed that Neil got though his own personal tragedies with such dignity. RIP.

Piqued my interest. You may find this useful.
Cheers- saw that. Cleanly played, so i'll be using this instead of the studio version.

I'm about to learn 32 20 Blues by Back Door as a new song to slip into our blues band live set. It's all chords, which will be the first time in my 35 year playing career that I've played them.
I've read about Colin Hodgkinson on this forum over the years, but I never thought I'd end up plying one of his tunes.
Wish me luck!

Woah - steady on! Please don't generalise about homophobic attitudes in the Christian church. (Let's leave that for a new OT thread)
I'm a Christian who plays bass and sings in a small methodist church alongside an electroacoustic guitarist/singer.
Plenty of variety and I need to bring both rhythm and musicality to the songs as there's only two of us.

I'll not be going back to my Carlsbro Cobra 90, oh no 😨
I had one of those - heavy and rather woolly-sounding but fond memories all the same 😏

Enjoyed that. More that a little ‘Peter Gabriel’ but that’s no bad thing. Got cross-eye watching three basses at once😄
