Is it all generational? Middle aged and older guys/gals stop playing and offer their kit for sale, there’s less people in their teens or twenties, that are playing and looking to upgrade? Market gets saturated.

Double flat is a whole tone innit? So the B becomes A? Maybe 🤔 

Get an amp with twice the output you think you need, make sure you use a limiter. Run it gently.

I’ve found the guys at the speakerplans forum incredibly helpful, when seeking advice on all things amp and speaker related.

If bass does nothing for you, try something else for a few months/years, guitar or piano? Or even recording or engineering for another band. Whatever takes your interest. Singing in a choir, Morris Dancing?😄

Then at some point, you’ll see a bass leaning in the corner of a room, you’ll pick it up, have a noodle, and it will feel GOOD.🙂
