  1. The arse end of symptom of the universe.
  2. Yeh, it’s small stages where I’m wedged between the drums and the Marshall, it’s not too bad if I can stand out of its direction, but often not possible. I wear a hearing aid a lot, got a benign brain tumour that causes hearing loss, so quite used to having a speaker in my ear. thanks for your help👍
  3. Cheers man. Can you hear the tone on the bass well? I’m the only one on stage that will use iem, drummer occasionally. This means I’ll still need the 810 for everyone else I guess. I have lead guitarist Marshall stack right to the left of me and can’t even hear the bass drum , let alone vocals or rhythm guitar. I know the songs well so can just about get away with it but would be great to know if I was slightly out of tune or randomly decided to play in a different key.😄
  4. Wow! That’s super cheap! cheers
  5. Hello bassers. What’s the best entry level wireless IEM? Thanks.
  6. Looks like she’s directing traffic on barbiturates.
  7. I like it. Seems to be mostly focused on bass guitars though. Thought there’d be more about the other myriad of bass related stuff. Sound system stuff etc. Still like it though. Maybe it should be called ‘bassguitarchat’
  8. You can have walk on music?? Well I honestly never considered it. Normally I’m outside in the car park, either doing star jumps to wake myself up, or having a cigarette and pondering the ‘are we tuned down a semitone? And have I dealt with that?’, thing.
  9. Sit on the sofa, put a good movie on and smash out scales going up and down the neck.
  10. How wide should one’s legs be, when bassing? I might experiment. See how wide I can go before comments from band mates.
  11. If you don’t make the odd mistake, the stuff you play is too easy. Vocal harmonies gotta be rehearsed, does the bv have a working monitor? Some people find it hard to pitch if they can’t hear themselves.
  12. Well it’s all subjective innit. One man’s poop etc. We’d already had grunge, punk, hardcore etc and this sanitised version did nothing for me at the time, especially when there was new music and ideas coming out early nineties, jungle, acid techno etc even some ‘trip hop’ type stuff. I do like playing the fiddly bit halfway through paradise though, the ‘du du du du, du du du du, du du du du, du du du du’ bit. Could never decide whether pick or fingers was better.
  13. This is mad, I can play a couple of these and I’m not even a bass player? I know that makes me sound arrogant but NIB? and that terrible pop punk ‘welcome to paradise’ tune? How high do the grades go up?
  14. Dennis Dunaway Geezer Butler That bloke off Iron Maiden
  15. First gig outside of school when I was 15, in 1991. Not much else to do in Mid Wales but grow your hair and learn guitar.
  16. Does playing in a tribute band pay well? I appreciate it’s a bit of vague question with variables.
  17. I’m very average. However, I enjoy it and that really is all that matters.
