1. Hi Guys,

When the volume control my friends Precision is full on there is no noise - but when the volume is decreased there is a buzzing sound?? - the same noise occurs when the tone control is turned up - but again is silent when fully off?? - I've tried my Precision through his rig & it's fine - so I'm presuming it is the bass & not the rig??

    HELP :) !!

  2. Wow, wow & thrice 'wow' - what a Great Guy!

Did a deal & received delivery well 'within' 24 hours - now that's approaching a 'speed of light' deal!

Guys, even if you don't really want what he's selling - buy it anyway - just for the experience :) !!

    Thanks Jack - bloody fab!!

I've just discovered the feedback section so: Thanks for your warm welcome, fine collection and a happy trade. I'll be back unless I can tame my bass addiction!

  3. Hi Guys,

Here is my wonderful Trace Elliot GP12 Bass Amp which has a vast array of sounds & all the power most players will ever need! In really good condition - only a few light scratches on the casing where it was in a rack - with everything working as it should & the only reason I'm selling is it just doesn't quite fit on top of my mini bass cabs - i.e. amp is 17" wide & my cabs are only 16" wide - yes I know it's splitting hairs - but that's OCD for you - which means I'm going to have to unfortunately go back to a 'mini' type amp, which is a pity as they don't seem to have the tonal range, or grunt of this baby to my albeit cloth ears :) !! - so if you have a smaller amp you would like to trade - please let me know? - an Eden WTX would be fab? - spec as follows:-

    Active & passive input selector

    280w rms / 580w peak

Input Gain with increase,OK & overload led's to match precisely your instruments output to the input stage of the amp

Input Blend control to vary between solid state & valve sounds - yes actually has a valve in it :) !!

Switchable 12 Band Graphic Equaliser with level control to fine tune your sound

Pre shape selector switch to instantly change the tone

The highly aclaimed Trace Elliot - extremely versatile Dual Band Compressor - one of the first & few which actually works

EQ Balance control which ALL amps should have - to instantly increase/decrease the amount of bass/treble you require according to the type of venue you are playing

Master Volume, Effects Level control & the really handy mute switch for silent tuning & switching the amp on & off

Trade mark Trace Elliot green backlighting - which looks fab on a darkened stage

The rear panel has on/off switch, two 8 ohm speaker outputs, Effects send & return with switchable Full Range or High Pass facilty, Tuner output - which can also be used to link to another amp, Balanced D.I. output & a Footswitch input.

Lot's of bang for your bucks!!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions - I'm 'still' 5 minutes away from J15 of the M6 - someone has to be  !! - so let me know if you wish to have a 'try before you buy'?

£250 - please excuse my very poor photography - which unfortunately is on a par with my bass playing :D !!

  4. What a Great Guy :) !!

    Unbelievably helpful & knowledgeable!!

    Thanks Mike,

Thanks Mark, only one word ............. SUPERB !
5. Hi Guys,

Up for trade 'initially' is my built in California acoustic 470 Twin Channel Bass Amp - 170 - 'proper' watts of 70's lovliness - (none of yer mamby pamby 21st Century watts - no offence intended - before I get lynched) :) !! & allegedly 'more'?? at the reputed 2ohms it can go down to????

I'm not very technically minded - to say the least - but I bow to anyones superior knowledge - if they can explain why this amp sounds louder than my mates 500w 'top draw' Class D amp?? - have 'they' redefined a watt during the past 35 years & I missed it during one of my frequent 'senior moments'??

Therefore, if anyone would like a trade for an amp that is only around 40cms wide - give me a shout??

Both channels work, but the distortion does not - no loss there then, There is the obligratory '1' graphic 'knob' missing, the 140Hz graphic doesn't seem to add a lot to the bottom end? & the middle graphic is quiet when low - which is where it sounds best anyway to me - being of the 'old school' - but there is some snap crackle & pop when pushed up?? There are a few marks/small tears in the tolex & it could probably do with a service at some point?? - apart from this, it has a fantastic tonal range which albeit to my 'old cloth ears' - few amps can match at any price & is so blinking loud!!

    Thanks Guys,

    Tim

  6. Thanks,

Unbelievable amount of 'headroom' from such a small amp & tonally suberb!!

    Pic added.................hopefully better ones soon!
I cant be bothered unpacking the gig rig from my last practice so I'm playing my LMK right now. Its been 6 months since I used it last and forgot what a great little amp it is! Great tone and LOADS of volume. To practice at home I have to have both low and mid low set all the way down or it and the Big One start annoying the neighbours very quickly!
    Cracking amps!
7. Hi Guys,

As it would seem my next Gig will be sometime around the twelfth of never :) ........here is my Markbass LMK Twin Channel 500w Bass Amp.

In excellent condition & complete with Markbass Footswitch!

Not just the best amp in the Markbass range.....IMHO, - but these have to be one of the best & most versatile Bass amps in the world today.

£475 including free next day fully insured delivery.................or collect it for £450 - I'm 'still' 5 minutes from Junction 15 of the M6 - someone has to be :) !!

  8. Thanks for that,

I know a little bit, i.e. to check the neck stamp, pot dates & check for original soldering etc...........but please, any other tips gratefully recieved??

    Thanks again,

    Tim
I assume you know a bit about what you are buying? Original parts are key and if you can get the full history it's a huge bonus. I own 70s Fenders which are all original with original strings / case / till receipt and 70s Fenders which have loads of parts replaced. All are well set up and play great but obviously a huge difference in resale value
9. It's 'me'.......I'm Spartacus....................oops sorry......I meant Tim  !!
