Hi Guys,
Circa 1968 Gibson EB2 in great condition for a 43 year old Bass
Would ideally like to sell outright - but understnd that things ain't what they used to be & so would consider a p/x if you have something interesting?? or even a trade if you have a headless Status 'with' Trussrod - Kingbass maybe or some such? - or W.H.Y??
Fully operational Trussrod & Mute slide + original case - although the handle has long since worn out & replaced with an 'improvised' jobbie
Come & have a try if you like - but due to it's trouser flapping capabilities - maybe you should leave youe 'baggies' at home - in fact maybe 'jeggins' would be a sensible option !! - Having said that, 'modern bass sounds are available' in abundance. -
Bought a Peavey TKO from Cai - great combo & he's a great Guy to deal with

Thanks Guys,
I've linked them by connecting the effects send from the first amp, to the effects return of the second amp as suggested & I can even use the EQ on both amps with no hum or noise whatsoever!! - just 'how good' is Basschat & 'you Guys' !!
Thanks again,
Tim -
Hated the tone of my Genz Benz Shuttle - it sounded like Sparky's magic piano!

I had a twin channel one of these in the late 70's / early 80's & it was 'fab'!!

Hi Guys,
Any suggestions on how I can use two amps without getting the 'buzzing sound' - do I use the D.I. out of one amp into the main input of the other?
I tried to connect the tuner output from one amp to the main input of the other - but it was very noisy?
Thanks -
Thanks Guys,
All donations gratefully received -

Hi Guys,
In terms of loudness/decibels - just how much louder is a 500w amp than a 250w amp?? - I can remember reading somewhere that it would take a 1000w amp to be twice as loud as a 100w amp??
Thanks -
All,
Up for sale is my ZOOT ZB112NT 1x12 4 Ohm 300w cab. It's a 4 Ohm cab because I specified this with the intention of originally getting a second one to match my EBS head (which goes down to 2 Ohms minimum).
Brought it 3 years ago and have gigged with it a couple of times but has had very little use since.
It's a fantastic cab. Sounds absolutely brilliant, really punchy, deep lows for such a small cab and light as a very light thing that's been on a diet.
Selling it because it's been sat doing nothing as I've got a little Line6 combo for home use. Looking at GAS funds for a RH450.
Postage not included as I prefer local pickup rather than couriering it.

...............and 'gone' - 2 minutes flat - is this a new Basschat record ??
These are great.
The only micro head that actually has any sort of character.
Tons better than any of the Shuttle amps, in my opinion.
-
Hi Guys,
Here is my wonderful SWR Headlite Bass Head - which I probably need to sell outright due to car gearbox problems - honest injun ! - but being permantly gassed up - oops pardon - if you have something light & interesting - I could be up for a swap, or p/x??
Mint condition, complete with original box & owners manual
400w rms into 4ohms - 250w rms into 8ohms - active/passive pad switch - switchable Aural Enhancer - 3 band semi parametric EQ - On board Compressor - effects send return - balanced D.I output with level control & pre/post switch - direct out - pre amp out - etc, etc!
Weighs a mere 3.75lbs - nuts! & measures only 8.5" wide x 9.75" deep x 1.75" high - how do they do it?? + 'somehow' they've managed to squeeze in a Tube Pre Amp to give a lovely rich warm sound if required!
Looking for £450 & can post next day, fully insured for £22.70
Thanks for looking Guys -
It's gone - sorry for not updating the listing !!

**Now traded - thanks Guys **

Thankyou! - yes, at least to a cloth eared old bint like me it 'really' nails it - but it's not just the sound - it's the action & the feel - tried a '62 reissue last night & it was like chalk & cheese! Which is a pity because I've always hankered after a '62 RI & I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I was! Maybe it was just the really poor set up - i.e. very high action - ('really' low on the CS) & the ends of the frets were as sharp as razors - (lovely & smooth on the CS) + it weighed a ton compared to th CS! Hope it was the exception that proves the rule?? - as I still love the 'look' of the '62 RI - being a big James Jamerson fan!
I really like it with the gold plate, looks amazing!! Is it really as beefy sounding as the Youtube videos make out? I had the same problem with my ESP - the lack of soundclips never fully exemplified the tone, but just wondering if you think it nails it or not?
-
Thanks David - appreciated!!

Great Guy, Great Rig !!
Musicman Stingray with maple fingerboard F/S or F/T -
in Basses For Sale
Posted · Edited by dodgnofski
Hi Guys,
I absolutely 'love' this bass - but after playing rosewood fingerboard basses for the last 35 + years - I just can't get used to the maple board & so if anyone has a rosewood board jobbie - in similar condition i.e. - excellent they would like to trade - then please give me a shout??
This is the nicest Ray I've ever played & comes with the original Musicman Hard Shell Case - 3 band EQ, unbelievable low 'playable' action, arrow straight neck, fully functioning 'best ever designed' trussrod & that killer Ray sound - essential - or so I'm told to have in any Bass players corner?
Altenatively, if anyone has a 6 screw rosewood board neck they would like to sell/swap - that could be an alternative? and as a last resort I may have to swap or take something else with a rosewood board, or even sell & look out for a rosey one!!
Would sell for £750 - firm, either collected in person or by your elected courier?? & would obviously prefer the former - so the buyer can see just how good this is - before parting with their 'hard earned' cash! Looked at new 'on line' prices which all seem to be in excess of £1300 - so it would be hoped this is a bargain - even in these cash strapped days 'nes pas' ??
I'm 5 minutes from J15 of the M6 - as ever!! + there is a better than average chance I will be in Sunny Scotland for a week very soon !!
Thanks for looking Guys
All the best
Tim
