1.
You can't go far wrong with an Alesis SR16.

They've been around for a long time now so you should be able to find one second hand. Good sounds and fairly easy to program.

I have a Zoom MRT 3, and its a cinch to use and produces a useful range of drum sounds. Keeps time better than a Swiss watch and is WAY more reliable than a real drummer!

    :)

you can't go wrong with the SR16 as mentioned before.
i got one for £20 and i think it's probably one of the best machines out there for the price
I have been looking around but cannot find any soundclips of these Drum Machines... is there any chance of you guys posting them?
    It would be great!

    Thanks!

    Thanks!

One more thing Chris: can you edit the drumm patterns? Ad fills, combine patterns...

  3. Thanks guys!
I've a Zoom multi FX unit I bought on the bay for £20 or so. Got a good basic drum machine and some great FX. Bass in, headphones out. Simple as!
    Chris
Could you tell me exactly which model is it, please?

  4. :)

I'm looking for a portable drum machine or trainer to use as a practice/study tool.
I'm a bit lost, don't know much about them and don't want to spend a lot of money...

Please, could you give me some advice, please?

    Thanks!
  5.
I know he has one of his Jazzes strung up in BEAD tuning, so that might be what you have to do...
Spot On! He's been using different Jazz Basses with different tunings and of them was tuned BEAD.

Here you have a link with lots of info on Tim's gear... In one of the pics you'll see a Jazz with the neck reversed which he tunes like that.

  6. :)

Well, yes, another pedalchain post... I have been reading through previous posts but I'm getting really mixed up and need some advice, please!

Here is all the gear I'm using at the moment:

    -Ampeg SVT4 Pro

    - EBS MultiComp
    - EBS IQ Envelope Filter
    - MXR M-80 (D.I. + Preamp + Distortion)
    - Boss CEB-3 Bass Chorus
    - Boss OC-2 Octave Pedal
    - Boss LS-2 Line Selector

Should I use the FX Loop from the amp?

What do you think would be the best way to run them?

Do I need a Looper or can I use the Line Selector instead?

    Thanks guys!!!
  7. :)

    Thanks for the input guys!

So if you solo the P pup there's also not humming? And the P bass tone is the same as on a P Bass?

What I'm monst atracted to is adding a jazz pup to an existing P bass instead of buying a Hot rod or PJ bass but, since I'm not a very handy person, do you know how much would cost me to have a Jazz pickup profesionally installed by a luthier?
  8. I have just been thinking on going down the Fender P bass route, and in fact, I'm ready to go for it, but I'm also considering the possibility of a PJ:

    - Fender Hot Rod
    - Fender P Bass and ad the J pickup.

Since I haven't had the chance to try any of them I wanted to ask, to all of you that own or have tried them, what's your opinion on these basses.

On the Hot Rod, the P pickup is in the same position as it's on a P Bass?

One thing I'm not sure about it's that if when soloing any of the pickups you also get the humming noise, similar to the one it happens on the Jazz bass?

    Thanks!

    :)

  9. I've heard about this basses before, they are quite popular amongst Spanish bass players... I'm also member of the Guitarramania Forum (Spain) and people talk really well about them...

If you check Windmill's site Musicians section you'll see this guy: Charlie Moreno, he's got he's own custom model, "Windforce Charlie Moreno".
Check his YouTube site and judge the bass (...and the player!) by yourself:

  10. Up for sale is my "Diago" pedalboard, the exact model is the "Showman".... Here you've got the link to Diago's site so you can check all the features and dimensions:

    http://www.diago.co.uk/pedal-boards/pedal-...s/overview.html

As you'll see in the pictures, the pedalboard is in mint condition as it's been mainly sitting around not being used much. The only thing is that the Diago logo plate is missing but otherwise is in excellent condition.

They for £107 postage included... I'm looking for £60 postage included too... Anyone interested?... PM Me!

    :)

PS- Feel free to check my Feedback Thread

  11.
It's on the high side, but not massively unreasonable.

Without more info it's difficult to tell (i.e. how good is it?) but I'd go for £1100.
Well, I also think that is a bit overpriced but as we all know, buying from a shop is always more expensive than Ebay or buying directly from someone...This bass is being sold at The Gallery (London)...

To be honest, after a few experiences with people claiming to sell original vintage Fender Basses and then turning out to have been refinished, parts replaced... not sure if this is right move.
I don't know but right now I'm thinking that maybe, it would be better to buy it directly from a well known shop... Yes, you end up paying a bit more money but if anything goes wrong you've got their support.

    Here is the link:

    http://www.thebassgallery.com/fenderpbass73.html

As you can see it's not in great condition but it has been out there being played for 34 years!

  12. Hello guys!

It's been a while since I decided to go after a 70's Fender P bass but haven't found the right one yet.
Now I have seen a '73 Fender that is selling for £1300, it's all 100% original/genuine, no parts have been replaced and the finish it's the original...

What do you think of the price?

    Thanks!

  13.
Strange - I called Mike earlier and he said fan noise was perfectly normal - that it's a variable system that speeds up and slows down depending on how much ventilation's needed. :)
I don't know what to tell you but, as I said on my previous post, my SVT 4Pro works fine and doesn't make any noise.

  14. :)

I've got an Amgeg SVT 4Pro that was also converted by Mike from Panic Music and I can tell you that the fan doesn't make any noise at all...

I can not tell you for sure if there is something wrong with yours but mine doesn't make any whirring/humming noise.

I suggest you give them a call and let them know about this problem.
