I have a set of Irish tour bare knuckles in an old jap strat which are immense but I hadn't thought of their bass pups... Thanks for the suggestion!

I guess that's the million dollar question when there are so many variables to consider...

Any thought on lollar (?) pups? Have heard them mentioned a few times but know nothing about them...

So, have bought a bitsa jazz bass. In the past have bought vintage or cs fenders so have never mucked around changing pups but thought with a bitsa it might be fun to upgrade here and there and have an experiment.

So, what brands should I consider? I guess I'm more into a passive vintage kind of tone but might consider something active and a little more modern sounding. But the options seem almost too plentiful! Any advice on either good passive or active upgrades greatly appreciated!

Guess I should start one if I'm going to keep buying more and more basses ;-)

So... I bit the bullet and placed my order about 6 weeks ago. The wait is absolutely killing me and I had to tell people who understand.

It's a 66 Jazz in shoreline gold with desert sand undercoat, matching headstock, rosewood with b&b neck... I'll get some pictures up as soon as it arrives ;-)

Bought a bass from David... No case with it but his care in packaging was great. Excellent fast communication throughout! And the bass turned up set up immaculately.
