1.
I have always found that contacting before ordering is the best way to go. I usually say something like I have to have it within a week as I am out of the country after that for x number of weeks and need to take it with me. Also you would be suprised how much power saying you are a regular conributor to this website holds ;-)
only problem for me is the bongos probably gonna take 3 months anyway just for ordering it.. unless they happen to have the options i want in stock. i might get rumbled pretty quickly. about the saying youre a regular contributor, really? how would you slip that in to an order....
 2.
Interesting, they claim on their website they can get the Sterling and Stingray dual pickup-models lefthanded, but I don't think Ernie Ball make those in lefty versions. There is only one Sterling HS around (a Dargie Delight, owned by a lefthanded friend of Sterling Ball who's on the leftybassist.com forum). They don't have a mirrorred version of the required preamp and so far have refused to have one manufactured, except for that one-time-only bass.
also on the bongo 6 they have a piezo option and matching headstock option.. i assume (and hope) its just bad site design
 3. sounds really nice but not a huge fan of the looks. the pickguard seems a bit weird more so than the body shape doesnt line up or something id still prefer a stingray
 4.
Personally I've never had a bad experience with them, but others here have had bad service from them Maybe get a written quote from them and see if Martin at The Gallery will match or beat it? - http://www.thebassgallery.com/musicman.html
good idea would an email do or do i need a physical letter or something? ive been in the bass gallery so atleast i know they exist anyway and ive heard good things
 5.
if you really want a bongo with little hassle you should try string 'n' things, they're the UK distributor and you can order one to your exact specs, though it may be more expensive and it would take a few months. That said, i've heard a few people say good things on here about the bass centre.
im having a look now, i might be on the wrong page but i cant see anything about musicmans... link? if youre bothered. ill keep searching anyway ill have to probably wait 1-3 months for bass centre anyway so aslong as its not too much more thats expected the price might be a problem
 6. that doesnt sound too good... anyone else? is this a once off or the norm for them. theyre one of the only places i found that wasnt way overpriced. anyone have any ideas where to get a bongo 6 HH that will deliver to ireland for not too bad a price?
 7. ok im not sure where this fits but its about buying a bass so i thought here worked.. if not please feel free to move the thread. im planning on buying a bongo 6 HH from this website as theres nothing over here (ireland) http://www.basscentre.com/6-string-bass-gu...ongo-vi-hh.html the price seems alright anyway if anyone knows a better/cheaper place links and info would be appreiated im just wondering if anyones dealt with these people what kind of service etc.. ivve had some bad experiences with soundslive and thomann in the past and if i buy this i dont wanna get ripped off or messed around so what do you think of them. cheers
 8. i dont like soundslive they wanted me to pay more (100-200) for a replacement of a faulty gk cab when they raised their prices during sorting things out. arrived with a broken speaker. thought they were better than thomann:P other than that im tempted to get one
 9. ive got the sr506 its nice and very thin neck in width and thickness which makes it easy to reach around. also its pretty good for tapping i recommend it highly
