As the Tokai is missing out so far, it certainly gets my vote. Is the neck quite chunky for a Jazz? Mine of a similar vintage is - interested to know if yours is the same.
3 very good buys!!
Cheers... yeah the Tokai is a slightly deeper neck profile to lots of other Jazz basses I've tried, though I can't say chunky. The Stringray is to me, chunky compared to it & taking a bit of time to adjust to it... The Jazz is quite similar to my '84 Tokai 'Harpuncher' which has a B-profile neck. My favourite type of neck to play, lovely.

Hmm. Are we seeing the work of a certain BC member?
They are U.S. based. Maybe Mark Phillip's stateside counterpart?

Sorry, it looks like Stevie Wonder's routed the pickup cavity with a bolster chisel on this 'Phat Jaco' humbucker version

These are lovely pickups. I've got a set of CS 60's in my '84 Tokai, so sweet sounding.GLWTS 😊

After years of using lemon oil, I've switched to Musicnomad F-One fretboard conditioner. I think it's great.

The volume pot on one of my Precisions has gone dodgy and needs replacing.
What should I be looking for? I’m aware that there are good pots and not so good pots but that’s all!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
CTS 250K Logarithmic (Audio) solid shaft would do you right

Hi Nick, yes they are standard Fender Jazz sizes - bridge pickup longer than neck pickup. I thought the difference in size was visible on the picture, but better make this clear. some other info on the PV74 pickups on Fender website https://shop.fender.com/en-FR/accessories/pickups/pure-vintage-74-jazz-bass-pickup-set/0992243000.html?rl=en_US
Thanks for clarification..I read a review of these on Amazon, which said different, advising extra routing to cavity to accommodate. PM coming, cheers

Hi, could you please advise if these are 'standard' jazz size - i.e. bridge pickup wider than neck?
Thanks

Boomstick Bottom Feeder
Boomstick Audio Devices Bottom Feeder filter is the bass version of the acclaimed Mojo Hand Analogue Filter 442. Based on the same circuitry as the original DOD 440, but with a wider frequency range for bass guitar.
A lovely 'bubbly' sounding filter, great for dub...and with a fuzz going into it is wicked too!
Great review here from Bassfuzz.com https://www.youtube....h?v=wBLMXDYVK4Q
I've built a clone now of this pedal, so the Boomstick is surplus to requirements.
In good working condition, with velcro on base.

£60 ono inc. P&P

I've got a black version of this bass, same year... It's the one I've kept, after recently selling all my collection. Something special about these basses.

Tribal Planet (GSX5BK) Semi-Rigid Gig Bag
In great condition. This is my spare one, so hasn't seen much action. However, I've absolutely hammered my other Tribal Planet gig bag over the last ten years & it's still going strong! I'm down to a one bass policy now, so this is surplus to requirements & cluttering up my studio.
These gig bags have a tremendous reputation, though sadly no longer available.
Adjustable internal padding & neck brace to suit design of bass, along with good sized pockets - I managed to carry around a class D amp, leads & bass stand in mine to gigs!

Some daft youtube Tribal Planet clips on this gig bag demonstrating it's capabilities, though I definitely wouldn't do any of these tests on my pride & joy!
