Seem to have ended up with a trio of these Vista Musicmasters now..... I do like them though, I think they're cracking basses 🙂

Sorry I do have to concur with StuartB, the dents do make it seem a refinish, but it's undoubtedly a lovely bass. I have two Tokai's from this period & wouldn't part with them, as they're so good ... GLWTS 👍

Got myself another Squier Vista Musicmaster in black the other day, to keep the recently acquired shell pink one company.

Pink is strung with Labella black tapewounds, and the black has Daddario Chromes....

Need to some shielding work on both, when I get the time, as they are wee bit noisy, and the black one needs a new tone pot....

But for the money I think they're great little basses these 🙂

Just picked up this '97 Squier 'Vista Series' Musicmaster in a lovely shell pink.

Was after a MIJ/CIJ Mustang to replace the one I regrettably sold last year.... However, this Musicmaster came up for sale locally at a good price in great condition, with a proper case, so decided to take a chance on it....

And I'm glad I did   Quite blown away with how good this little tone monster is!   The Labella tapewounds I've put on it give it a big sound too... 

Also well impressed with the quality, especially considering it's Chinese - it's that not far off MIJ (IMHO) & much better than the '78 USA Musicmaster I had as a first bass years ago....

I can understand why there's a few fans of this bass around.

Previous owner of my '83 Ibanez RB920 was Paul Ryder (Happy Mondays).... It was used on their first couple of albums, TOTP performances, videos & live - lots on youtube of it in action. Madchester funk machine!

I don't have any provenance in writing, except some messages on FB, as I'm friends with Paul - asking me if I've still got the bass & if I'm looking after it

Airlink Transformers  Harlow are good... I've used them for toroidals for US to UK voltage conversions on a GK 800RB & a 400RB

Hi, cheers  no footswitch included... but I'm pretty competent at soldering, electronics etc so will make make  one once I find schematic. It does look clean, just missing a slider...
