1. This is an 8 ohm cab in really nice condition.

Comes complete with casters and an official Aguilar padded cover.

The for sale price is £325.

I would really prefer collection, or meeting up somewhere but I will post if absolutely necessary.

Trade for a Bergantino or Epifani cab maybe ?

  2. This is in excellent condition, and comes with an Aguilar padded gig bag.

A great sounding and loud head.

Very warm sounding, almost valve like head.

    £525 o.n.o

  3. I have a MM SR5 in excellent condition.

I'd like to trade it for another MM SR5, that must also be in excellent condition.

Mine is a kind of 'blue sparkle' with a rosewood board.

I'm not too keen on the colour so I want to trade it for either a white one or a sunburst one.

It has a really nice low action and plays great.

The neck has a nice bit of 'flaming' to it.

It actually looks a bit darker in real life.

May also trade for a Jazz 5 string bass.

    For sale for £750.

  4. I should explain I just bought this today, I only really wanted the LM2 so the combo part is redundant. I was thinking of keeping it, but I already have some 1x12 cabs and I really don't have the room to store it.

I sounds really nice with the LM2.

It'll accept any regular 19" rack mountable head. There's a speakon cable at the back to plug into the head.

It's very solidly made, kind of looks a bit homemade but it's sound more than makes up for that. It comes with an attachable trolley to make transportation easy.

    It measures approximately 60cm x 50cm x 40cm.

Here's a link to the original sale thread.

I hope Simon doesn't mind me using his photos, I'll take some of my own tomorrow in the daylight.

£60 plus postage or you can collect it from Birmingham.

I was recently offered this bass in a trade for my now departed Zon Sonus, only to have it snatched back so cruelly :) .

It's a really beautiful looking bass, and has such a cool vibe about it.

Nevermind this is now mine, at least it will be tomorrow

  6.
Guys,

Had a good chat with Mark at Bass Direct today ref an F1 head and he really believes that a GS112 by itself will not work well with an F1 head. Apparently 2 x Bergantino 1x12's would work much better.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Being cynical, is that because Mark doesn't sell Aguilar but does sell Berg ?

Have a look on Talkbass, there's a guy there called KJung who's really knowledgeable. He's tried pretty much every amp/cab combination that you can imagine. I've read loads of times that GS12's match really well with the F1 head.

  7.
I had a dodgy rod in my fortress one a good few years ago, contacted warwick and was able to buy a replacement direct through them - IIRC it was only about £15!
Ah, thanks !

I feel a lot better now, I thought I'd wrecked it.

It's just the end bit that the adjustment tool fits into that's stripped inside. I didn't realise how stiff the necks were. I realise now that I should have done a quarter turn and left it for a bit, then another quarter turn. Maybe while pulling the neck back a bit to ease the adjustment.

  8. I was trying to adjust the neck refief on my fretless Thumb NT bass earlier. It wouldn't turn and then all of a sudden it did. I've stripped inside of the hex shaped thing that you put the adjustment wrench into.

Can I ask any Warwick experts if this is a major problem, can you get replacement parts easily ?

I love this bass and I'm really worried that I've done something major. It's the only fretless bass that I've played that actually sounds like a fretless.

  9. I'm not sure how old this is.

It's in OK condition, a few scrapes in the Tolex covering and the badge is a bit scuffed, but nothing major. The grille has been resprayed black and looks really sexy and mean.

The speakers are original Trace Elliot. I think they were made from Kevlar, which is the same material found in bullet proof vests.

It's heavy and large, but sounds amazing.

I'd like £250 for it ono, or trade/part trade for some sort of 2x10 or 1x12 by EBS, Eden, Aguilar, EA etc.

It'll have to be collection only though, owing to the size and weight. Or I could meet you somewhere.

  10. OK I just bought this, but I really wasn't thinking when I did, It's heavy !

It sounds amazing though, there's a post I put up last week in the gear porn section stating my thoughts on this.
I used TE gear for ages years ago. Since then I've gone through masses of gear, but nothing really comes close to the sound from the original TE stuff.

It's really not practical for my situation though, and I need something lighter. I did a gig this evening with it and it performed amazingly, I was the happiest that I've been with my sound for years. It was a tiny little club though, I was playing with a jazz group I play for occasionally, and I turn up with this huge head and a 4x10. My rig took up most of the available space :) .

The amp is a series 6 AH300. The case is made from some kind of tough rubbery/plastic material. It sounds great, everything works, including the UV lighting. The case is in pretty good condition, I've had it re-sprayed black and it looks really special.

And it goes without saying, the UV looks really cool !

I'd like £250 ono for it, or a part trade for Markbass F1 head.

    Postage should be about £20.
