  8. The Thomann Chromatic 64 arrived yesterday. I'm used to harmonicas as little things that fit easily in the hand, but this thing is huge and requires two hands at all times. I've yet to take it to a quiet place at work and give it a real blowing. I've read that this model needs to be "blown in" a bit, especially the low range. Selecting a single note to play is tough: I don't have an embouchure and it's likely going to require my tongue.

  24. I don't play the harmonica yet ... but I ordered one from Thomann and it'll be here early next week. It's their own 16-hole Chromatic 64 model. I work in quite an old, large building with whole wings that are unoccupied, and I'm often walking about, so my idea is that I can carry the harmonica wherever I go and try things out in-between other work. I find myself wishing I had some instrument on me to try whatever happens to be running through my head that day. A Chromatic makes more sense to me because I'm already moderately musically-literate, and the Solo tuning looks sensible. I don't see myself playing much Blues, Chicago or otherwise, though I might try that later.
  25. Good Grief - Bastille
