The only thing I find visually challenging about the Jake C is the rounded off end of the pickguard by the jack socket; my eye expects to see a point there. 

Its actually going to be 32" scale. Changed that. Yes, hipshot ultra lights.

All my other basses are rosewood and sunburst so my wife should be non the wiser!

Trying to figure out what's not to like? The price is right and dag nab it looks purty too! I think I'm hitting "check out" now.

Never tried 32". But I've used many a short scale and feel....well, that they're TOO short. But I do like the idea of maybe gaining a bit more dexterity with a 32" scale. If that bass was sunburst and 32" they would have my money! 

Thanks Roger! Yes, fantastic bass, just really need the neck to be a smidgeon smaller.....but still, considering keeping it sounds so great.

I thought my P Bass journey was coming to an end and I made the mistake of plugging in 32" P bass into the Google machine and this popped up:

It is a great bass. Much more versatile then one would think! I'm just in P bass mode currently.

Not cherry, "worn brown" is what Gibson call it.

Here's a great specimen of an American classic P bass. It shows some sign of wear....being nitro finished, it will mojofy quicker than poly basses....which is kind of nice. Includes original bridge and pick up covers (never installed as well as case candy. Speaking of the case, it's not the original but an American Professional case. Keys included.

Here are the specs on the 2006 American Standard P basses. S1 switch included in specs. 

This has been my gigging bass since summer. I've been a on a quest for "keeper" P bass, and this came in a close second to my custom build P bass I just built up. These Player series basses are fantastic and the necks are a real joy to play. I played this stock as is (I did have a tort scratch plate on it) for many gigs we did this year. That being said, it's in great shape for being a gigged bass. Hard to find a blemish on it. Comes trung with original Fender round rounds. I used flatwounds when I gigged it so there is no fret wear.
