I can highly recommend Bills' designs and plans -
http://www.billfitzmaurice.com/
The 'Jack' series are fairly straightforward builds and sound great. -
Used to be mine this one.
Surprising amount of ooomph for its size.
Buy! Buy! Buy! -
Gilles bought my Avalon U5 and I found him to be a thoroughly pleasant chap to deal with.
Miss out on a deal with Gilles at your peril!
Many thanks my friend.

Wonderhorse (Liam) brought one of these along to trial my (now his) SVT Classic through.
We had the SVT at around 7 on the master and this cab sounded fecking incredible - real trouser flappin' stuff!!
Bump for an excellent cab. -
Oh Feck.....
-
What sort of budget do you have friend?
-
Just sold a rack setup to Craig.
Really easy guy to deal with and a real pleasure!
Thanks Craig! Enjoy the rack.
Cheers

This has sold now.
Thanks to everyone for popping by! -
Thanks for the heads-up Stevie!
Also your kind comments Platypus.
However, sold subject to the usual! -
Used to have one of these.
Really nice sounding fretless.
Have a bump on me! -
-
Ok……. I'd like to shift this to help [s]finance[/s] pay for a certain something.
It started off as a fretted Dean Vendetta but as it has a fairly 'mid forward' sound and I fancied it as a fretless I called on Andy Viccars (www.andyviccarscustom.co.uk) to work his magic.
Andy replaced the finger board with a lovely slab of ebony and, as has been done to a couple of my other fretlessessessess, installed Bartolini pickups and preamp.
This is the result -
Weighs in at 3.75kg (8.25lbs).
The neck's 37.6mm wide at the nut.
The Bart' electronics give a great variety of tones and a fairly hot output. The controls are -
- Volume (with Active/Passive push-pull)
- Blend
- Mid (push pull freq selector)
- Treble/Bass Stack.
Only downer is that the board is very slightly marked from using roundwounds.
Was £475 now [s]£350[/s] £300 including a tatty hard case delivered to an address of your choice within the mainland UK.
Thanks to Rob for the photos - Website

I bought Pauls' Sansamp and found him to be a pleasure to deal with!
Good communications throughout and all that.
Cheers Paul!

Feck...
Fingers crossed for you my friend. -
I brought a small herd of Ampegs in from the states when there were two dollars to the pound which worked quite well.
Worth remembering that you'll pay duty on the freight costs as well. -
Another big up for the BFM cabs here.
-
Check the standby switch on your valve amp before hitting the first note in a set.

My teacher's got me learning notation for acoustic guitar first. Once I've got the hang of that the idea is that I shift over to the bass clef.
There are masses of books for learning notation for acoustic and you get to play proper melodies very quickly which is rather nice.
Seems to be working for me.
BTW, I've used the very book you've got and I know what you mean about the numerous rhythm exercises.
All the best. -
I'd run with Mr Foxens' specs.
-
I suspect the 3.9ohm jobbies will be ok.
Have a word with the peeps on the BFM forum, they'll know for sure!
-
sh*t, really sorry to hear about this.......
Pm'd -
For £400, you could consider second hand pre+power amp.
Not the new super light 1U jobbies mind, but I'm sure you find something fairly easily. -
WHAT!!??
No way!
I'll fight you for it!!!!
