  1. My JJ Jazz has developed a rattling neck. It hasn’t been dropped or knocked I haven’t adjusted the truss rod and i’ve checked and tightened any machine head screws etc. I acquired this bass used about 4 yrs     as a backup so doesn’t get used a lot. Problem has only reared it’s head in last couple of months. Any ideas? Anyone else experienced this?

  2. Bought this new from PMT Bristol Dec 16. Acquired to test out the short scale thing but didn't get beyond rehearsal room.

It developed a minor noise/hum problem which has been sorted by WM Guitars at Ashburton with new pots/jack/shielding. These are great little things ( I don't know the weight but not heavy)...just not for me. I can throw in a standard sized gig bag if required.

Very good condition, just two small marks (see pics). Sale only.  Collection or possible meet up Exeter-Bristol M5 corridor.

  3. Lightweight (approx 16Kg I believe) UK made cab. Now moved to 10" and 12" cabs so surplus to requirements. Excellent when paired with 2x10 cab and pretty good on it's own. Very good nick, just a slight mark on top of cab. Comes with padded slip cover also in very good condition.

    PCB 115 / 400 Watts / 8 Ohms / Celestion speaker

    Collection only

  4. Old school HEFT!

My main gig rig for 15 years,it never let me down and head was serviced 18 months ago. In very good condition.Manufactured (iirc) in 1999.

USA made Redline stereo amp 600 watts into 4 ohms with bi-amp and crossover facility. Lots of eq options, valve pre amp for a bit of grit and decent built in comp/limiter.

Matching Red eye 4 x 10  8 ohm cab w/tweeter.  Tweeter level red knob (matched amp controls) went awol at gig. Spindle turns fine and tweeter works as it should.

Both with serviceable but tatty covers.

This goes very loud, more than I need tbh. A lot of muscle for your money. It is also fairly heavy, approx 30kg for cab and 15kg for head.

For sale only and would rather not split the pair.

Collection only but could do meet up by arrangement.

    NEW PRICE-£200

  5.  FOR SALE ONLY NO TRADES.

Great combo, gigged a number of times when I first had it in 2002, for rehearsals and home practice ever since.

Lovely warm sound from 15" blueline speaker. Usual fraying (see pics) on handle, but handle still secure and functional.

VU backlight long stopped working, VU meter still works. Everything else works as should.

Collection from west Somerset or meetup along M5 corridor twixt Exeter and Weston s Mare ish.

  6. I broke a string at a gig once. It surprised me and it surprised the audience as I didn't have a backup bass and had to change a string mid gig. Not clever.

So I now take a spare bass and,if the gig requires,my fretless. Nothing to do with showing off and everything to do with being prepared and not letting your band and audience down.

My solution to differing levels- TC Electronic Stacatto 51 with 3 presets. Job's a good un
