  1. Hi Guys, The bass is WITHDRAWN. I have a local guy here who is buying it... Thanks for your interest!
  2. Hi guys, Here for sale a wonderful Marleaux Consat Signature 6 String, which I bought some months ago from the best bass player in our country. 🙂 I am not sure of the exact year (I didn't check with Mr Marleaux), but I am guessing it is around 2004. It was his main bass for 5 years, but an year ago the guy ordered a new Consat 6 strings, so I got this one in order to check it 🙂 That bass has absolutely wonderful sound and has no issues. Why I am selling it: (I guess you know my story, but if not...) - I love checking different bass guitars, which I buy for my wife (she plays bass), but at the end she always prefers her Consat 4, and so I put back the basses I bought for sale. I usually sell on the price I bought...or often below 🙂 The price included the shipping to UK Here are the specifications: Walnut body with poplar burl top 3 piece flamed maple neck Ebony fretboard with 24 frets 6 point bolt-on Matching Headstock Scale: 34 Black Hardware by Schiller Active/passive switchable 3 band EQ Sound: detailed, boutique, individual Electronics: Marleaux “Programable” 3 band EQ 2 humbucker pick-ups from Delano Comes with original gigback Marleaux Here you can see the bass in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAQXPFe7PxQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auNepppLTyU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OVsxpec8MQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScAR1BcyHzw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=seh-QgQtrKg

  6. Hi guys, I found something I would like to buy....so the new price of the Mbass is 1840 pounds :-)
  7. Hi DorsetBlue, I'm glad you had some good time in Bulgaria. :-) Though the places you've been are very "tourist" oriented...which is not bad, just very commercial :-) A lot has changed in 20 years...you should visit again :-) Cheers, Kriss
  8. Hello :-) I actually joined the forum more than one year ago, but I guess I was too busy to follow the "Basses for sale" section, so I found this rubric just a month ago :-) I'm located in Sofia, Bulgaria and the sad truth is - I am not even a bass player...only a guitar player (acoustic guitars) and I'm left handed on top of that...what life is that?!? I guess I kinda compensate with my inner beauty....:-) But my wife started playing bass two years ago (always wanted to do so) and since I kind a love the instrument and the way the guitars are build I've started buying different bass guitars in order to find the perfect one for her...(at the begging she told the Ibanez SR-300 is the best bass guitar in the world...mainly because it as blue, I guess).. And so the last two years I had Ibanez, Sandberg California, 3 or 4 different Marleaux basses, Scott Whitley short scale, Warwick and Ritter....at one point there were 6 bass guitars around. I've even started thinking of becoming right-handed bass player! I had to do something before it gets too late! So I've started to put back on sale some of the bass guitars she didn't play at all, since they just collected dust. It seems my wife can not play more than one bass simultaneously...and she fell in love of one of the Marleaux Consat I bought and there is nothing that can change her mind. She firmly prefers it over any other bass guitar, even over the Ritter Cora (didn't expect that - I had so much hope here)...well, I didn't try yet any Fodera and Ken Smith though :-) so I guess the bottom line is - don't be surprise if you see me selling new basses or some bass that I bought here some months ago - it means they didn't match the Consat, that is all :-) Cheers, Kriss
  9. I sold Lawrance a Marleaux Soprano two weeks ago. It was a great pleasure communicating with him. No issues at any kind. He was absolutely understanding and tolerant even when the courier delayed the delivery with one day :-) Highly recommended buyer. Deal with him with absolute confidence. Kriss P
  10. hi guys, I put the monster ON HOLD, because there is someone that is interested at this point :-)
  11. Hi Eubassix, Thank you so much for the detailed answers you gave concerning the dimensions of the little monster....and it is undeniable truth that you are much more informed than I am :-) After all I am not a bass player at all :-)
  12. Here is the "official" presentation of the Soprano: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuSRLEkuwdw
  13. PM replied :-) Concerning the other questions thanks to the guys who gave answers on my behalf :-) Again - the tuning is EADG, Octave up Sound clips - I do not have a sound clip with that particular bass, but one can find several demos in youtube. Just write there marleaux soprano and they will popup :-) Cheers, Kriss
  14. Hi :-) Here is for sale a wonderful little monster - Marleaux Soprano. I bought it one year ago from eubassix (highly recommended seller/buyer), but since it is not in use I put it back on the market :-) I would say that the condition is perfect, almost "like new" - to be safe I will say one could find only very delicate signs of use... As you probably know this is a small bass guitar with the following parameters: Scale: 25" 4 string Neck: 3 piece maple neck , 6 point bolt-on matching head-stock Fretboard: 24 frets, 57 cm scale. body: "Consat" shape Delano pickups; passive original soft case "Marleaux"
  15. Guys, The bass will be on HOLD for the next couple of weeks, since I am sending it to somebody who is interested to check it... I will update later on the final status
  16. NEW PRICE: 1699 pounds Hi Guys, About one year ago I bought this wonderful Marleaux Mbass 6, Poplar burl, from mrbassman_de (wonderful seller - highly recommended) So, why selling it? In case you do not know my story - I am not a bass player, but my wife is playing bass, and since I love guitars I regularly buy different basses for her - she tries them and eventually she keeps playing only her Consat Custom 4, so I am selling the basses after :-) There are always 3-5 bass guitars at home :-) The Mbass is too heavy for her and 6 strings comes too much... so she doesn't want to play it - and here it is back on the market. The bass is very well preserved - it was played several times only - in a studio and once on a gig (for test purposes)...Despite the fact the bass is 2003 it shows only minor wear, frets are like new and truss rod works fine In the meantime we made careful tests and comparison of the bass together with friends of mine (professional bass players who also have Marleaux basses), and we discovered that the 6th low string sounds a bit weaker than the others. Actually one could catch that difference only on studio recording, not when you play it... But I could not sell it knowing there is an issue so I did send the bass to Mr. Marleaux himself and to ask his opinion what should be done. He suggested to replace the original Marleaux pick ups (in the box) with brand new Delano. And he did it - so now the bass has new Delano pickups, new strings and full setup made by Mr. Marleaux...well, you can imagine the cost for that upgrade :-) The specs: Poplar Burl Wood Top Dibetou Body One-pice Quartersawn Maple Neck Neck Dimensions: 2.125" at Zero Fret, 3.5" at 24th Fret Fingerboard: Pau Ferro Scale 34" 24 frets (+zero fret) Bridge Pickup: Marleaux Custom Wound "Jazzbucker" (in the box) - replaced with new Delano Neck Pickup: Marleaux Custom Wound Jazz Single Coil (in the box) - replaced with new Delano Preamp: Aguilar OBP-3 Marleaux ramps built for this bass Controls: Volume (P/P for active/passive), Blend, Stacked Treble/Bass, Midrange (Push/Pull for Mid Frequency), mini-switch coil-select for bridge pickup Tuners: Schaller M2000 Black Bridge: ETS Tuningfork (18mm spacing, fully adjustable) Weight: 9.6 lbs / 4.6 kg Built in 2003 Note that this is the original MBass version, not the 2012 upgrade. The other modification on this bass I am aware of was made by the previous owner - \mrbassman_de, and here is what he describes: "When I received this bass the electronics were poorly installed: the non-original output jack was not fixed (the pics still show this version), the passive switch did not work. I fixed all issues and installed an original Telecaster-type output jack. Everything looks and works as it should." Bass comes with non-original HC. Shipping to UK included in the price
