Hello Steve.
Does it come with the Bass Centre bag and are those Detroit flats?Hi
I have somehow managed to mislay its Bass Centre bag, I have a Fender one or alternatively an original Wapping 1980's BC brown leather effect bag (very flimsy). It currently strung with BC Stadium Elite rounds.

Here's my fender Downton Express multi effects unit.
Plenty of details online regarding these, nice unit, with great led's (shallow I know!)
Has Mute, EQ, Overdrive and Comp & DI all in one pedal.
Good condition, never mounted onto a board. You will need a separate power supply as these units are sold new without one.
Collect from Milton Keynes or post for £5
Cheers

Here is my excellent Bruce Thomas Profile Bass by Bass Collection.
There is a separate thread on the forum regarding these basses if you are not aware of them.
This one is in excellent condition with no marks or issues, set up really well, plays lovely, sounds lovely, holds tune seemingly forever.
These are £595 new so I believe this is a good and fair price, so please someone buy it before I change my mind.
Weight wise it weigh's in about the same as my RW 50's and Player series P basses, so not a boat anchor by any means.
Only selling as I really need to cut my gear down and I already own a couple of P basses which are now ahead of this in the pecking order.
Collection from Milton Keynes or convenient meet up preferred.
Any questions, just ask.
Cheers

I don't know why you would want to sell this. You can't do a lot with £200 and you probably won't find as good a bass for the money. (This may not be true currently but it would have been 10 years ago).
I've had loads - every time I sold one I would kick myself and buy another.
They're a great tool to have as back up.
somehow I have mysteriously managed to accumulate far too many basses at present and so am just clearing a few which I’m not feeling the love for presently.I agree with you, it’s a super bass and it’s worth is far more than the modest asking price.

Bought a Fender 50’s Roadworn Precision from Ash. Great communication, no hassle, bass was shipped well packaged and arrived exactly as described.
Great guy to deal with, recommended. 👍

Still available? I need a better bass than my gear4music p bass bought in lockdown.
I see everyone rates these bass collections but then I see good things about sires too.
is this a decent step up?
Hi
This is a Japanese made 90’s bass, made with good quality parts. It played great, weighs very little and sounds really good.
I never played or even held a Sire so I can’t comment on them I’m afraid.
You’re welcome to come give it a try if you fancy?
cheers

Are you sure it's Ash?I had 3 of these. The Seafoam green and the red, both Alder and the only one that was ash was the Honey Blonde one.
Just going from the information provided previously on this threat by a fellow basschatter.
I’ve checked on the Fender website and it appears non specific about which colour were alder and which were ash, so I’ve amended the listing not mentioning the body wood.

Priced to sell.
So I’m shallow and weak willed and want to own one of these in black so this beauty has to go to help fund it.
Great 50’ s P bass in lovely Dakota Red, Maple neck, good condition, slight scuffs to the scratch plate, no dings or dents.
I’ve gigged this loads this year and it always sounds great, I just want a black one……sad I know.
Weighs in at 8lbs, no back breaker.
Collection from Milton Keynes or postage an option if required.
Any questions just let me know.

Lovely bass, I did the mods on this. Just so people are aware, I’m pretty sure the original preamp no longer works. Good luck with the sale. Cheers

You do a great Job on this, the Aguilar preamp is thunderous.

Very nice - it looks like there is no contouring to the body and compared to my US Sterling. Also no coil switch. Not seen one of these for sale in a long time. Does the original preamp work ok?
As far as i'm aware it does, however I have only used it with the Aguilar in it (which sounds awesome btw)

For Sale is my very rare Musicman USA Sub Sterling, which I purchased from this forum a year or so ago, I have used some of the details from the original sellers post to ensure the correct details are included as the refinish and mods were completed by him.
This is not the cheaper Sterling by Musicman model - it was made in the Musicman USA factory.
It’s refinished in Sonic Blue Nitro and the neck has been stripped and finished with gunstock oil and is very skinny, smooth and fast. The preamp has been upgraded to Aguilar 3 Band with Switchable Mid and push/pull for passive mode by The Gallery. Also swapped are the pickup cover and knobs to white/cream although the originals of both are available.
The scratch plate has been switched to black, however I also have a cream pearl, tort and original plates included, as are the original electrics.
It had the odd mark on it, however nothing dramatic.
It’s very lightweight for a Musicman (4kg/8.8lbs) and is a genuinely great bass. Currently strung with rounds. I have an old case, so while collection or meet would be preferred, I could potentially post if necessary.
Any questions, just let me know.
Cheers

Genuinely astonished this is still here - £200 is an absolute steal for this bass.
You might want to try the SGC Nanyo Bass Collection group on Facebook.
Thanks for the heads up, i'm a member of that group and may post it there, I've always been a bit wary of scammers on FB though.

Had the pleasure of meeting Nik when he popped in to try out and buy my Bass Collection Profile Bass.
Really nice chap, long standing Basschatter. Hassle free transaction, so buy or sell with confidence.
It was a shame we didn’t have more time to chat all things music, maybe we’ll get a chance again in the future.
Thoroughly recommend.
