1. Wow this is stunning. I love the look of the Padauk neck and the 33-35" scale. If only I could justify another bass!
2. Thanks for the speedy response, I am seriously considering it - they're a fair bit more than the EXLs but given the positive reviews here probably are worth the try (once I can figure out which gauges I'd be more suited to!)
3. Hi D'AddarioUK, I don't suppose there are any plans to release a balanced tension set of these? I like your EXL BT's and noticed guitars do already have couple of NYXL balanced tension sets available.
4. I love this... the ProM is so clean in appearance, especially with this finish. If I didn't already have 2 basses too many I'd be straight in there. Good luck with the sale.
5.
Its too early. I read that a "get a free lunch". Have a bump for a great bass.
Haha a novel way of selling a bass! Tell you what, if the buyer can collect I'll happily provide a cheese sandwich for the home journey!
6. Couple of pics of the hard case
7. Hi, many thanks for your thorough and thoughtful response... it's an expensive instrument so I've decided it's probably best not to take the risk with re-profiling. So I probably need to think hard about a custom neck - the bridge can't be moved (it's routed similar to a Warwick 2-piece bridge) but the neck joint goes all the way to the front pickup so I'm assuming there shouldn't be a problem with a new fingerboard extending an additional 11-12mm towards the pickup (upper fret access is very good) for the smaller scale length. A new neck would mean I could re-fit, with a full set-up of course, the original neck should I ever decide to sell.
8. Hi there. I've recently bought a new (2nd hand) bass which I'm absolutely in love with but have struggled to adapt to the neck - it feels like a stretch and I feel left forearm fatigue after only a short time playing. The bass is a 4-string with a 35" scale where I've only previously played 34" but added to this, has a very thick/chunky profile. Has anyone any experience of commissioning a luthier to reshape a neck? My other option would be to commission a luthier to custom build a whole new neck (with max 34" scale) but I'd likely have to sell another bass to afford this route so it'd be a last resort. Any experience or recommendations gratefully received. Tim
9. Yeah I'd be up for a bass inspired pint or two sometime let's arrange something!
10. Dropped price to £1400, feel free to get in touch if you've any questions.
11. Thanks for the welcome, good to see there's so many local Basschatters!
12. Had a couple of very nice trade offers but I'm looking for a sale on this thanks (unless there's another Jerzy Drozd out there).
13. Thanks guys. Funny you say that about Chandlers - I use d'Addario Nickelwounds but was re-stringing an underused bass out of whatever strings I had left lying around and found a Rotosound '66 set but minus an E string so Chandlers limited stock options were perfect!

15. Hi all, many thanks for the welcome, much appreciated. I'm really in Hampton Wick so bang between you synthaside and TKenrick!
16. Hi there, I've been a member for a few months and not said "Hi" so here we go. I first started playing bass 19 years ago and am just getting back into it after a long 8 year hiatus. I currently play for my own amusement, mainly trying to remember lines and pieces I first learnt many years ago. As far as gear goes I've always been a Warwick man but have recently purchased a couple of Jerzy Drozd basses which I'm in love with playing - a Basic bought here on Basschat and a very special "Matisse" Soul IV. My other favorite is a Bassline Buster Classic which I've tuned CGDA (120,85,55,35 d'Addarios) so having a lot of fun experimenting with that. Sadly means my Warwicks are now for sale. Anyway, "Hello" to all. Tim
17. Cheers, it was a pleasure meeting and spending an afternoon talking bass!
18. Thanks, it's a beauty. Will be sorry to see it go.
19. Bass now SOLD Hi all, I sadly need to reduce my arsenal so am letting this go (sale only). It's a May 1997, made in Germany, Streamer Stage II and plays wonderfully - it growls and slaps just like you'd expect. The gold hardware has been refitted with black, including Hipshot Ultralite tuners but I will also include the gold original hardware which includes the 2-piece bridge, tuners and knobs. Considering the bass turns 20 next year, it is in outstanding condition and if desired I can include a nice Yamaha hard case (plus all the Warwick user manual and kit). You're more than welcome to pop over, have a cuppa and try it out with no obligation to buy (although having played it'll be hard to walk away from!) 20. Bass has now SOLD!!! Hi there, up for sale was my Warwick Thumb NT 5-string Bass guitar. It's a truly stunning instrument; the wood almost glimmers gold after waxing. It's a 2002 model with an Ebony fingerboard, Bubinga Pomelle body and through-body Ovangkol neck. The curved body feels great to the touch, especially where the neck runs through. You'll struggle to find a better example of this bass.
