Trace Elliots are great amps, keep an eye on gumtree, ebay, BC.
As for basses, try as many as you can in guitar shops, then look for the one you like second hand.

That is weird, perhaps he uses a template and knocked them out accidently.

A bit of a late reply but I'm using my zoom B2.1U via USB at the moment and it great in the Mac G5 & garageband.

'Titles' was Mick Karns first album, if that helps.

Bought Steve's Jagmaster 6 string, Top bloke.

Sold my 96 last year for £140 - big regrets, as good as a Mex jazz, they don't go for much more than that but are snapped up pretty quick. one went on here for £120 recently.
