the new color scheme is OK (although the top gray banner could be lighter)

what I really dont like is the type...I find the letter spacing and the characters themselves in Arial to be to narrow for one to skim read/scan the text. I'd suggest a font-family field with the following - Verdana, (maybe) Helvetica, Arial, (and then the rest) Tahoma, "Trebuchet MS", Sans-Serif, Georgia, Courier, Serif (notice I dindt unclude times new roman...that just sucks )

thats a tough one...if you happen to find anyone willing to trade, that would be the best option. it will be hard though...so you might consider defretting. if you feel comfortable to DIY, it shouldn't set you back more than 25-30 quid (if you have to buy sanding paper etc etc etc). however, if DIY isnt your cup of tea, get it professionally defretted (chances are it will sound better), even though it costs a bit.

I've been doing some research, and have fond a few teachers, but still no references...I might just have to take my chances with one.

oh, and on a completely unrelated matter, why the electric bass - EUB - double bass progression? I love both electric and double basses, but EUB I just cant find appealing..I suppose you would consider one if you were testing the water before going with a DB, but it plays completely different doesnt it? Do tell me if I am wrong

ouch...some people should be forbidden to approach anything bass related...those are just hideous :S

I got a summer job when I was 16. then another one at 17. by 18 I had to start working part-time yearlong (needed the money). You do miss out on some stuff (you cant waste your summer doing nothing like the cool kids ), and it's hard on you both physically and mentally.

In the end it's all about goals. If you really want it badly, go for it. It will make you grow, and you'll earn money of your own However, you might consider working part-time - at least that way you'll have more free time for yourself/hang out with friends AND will still earn a few quid. You probably wont be able to buy that rig, but you might consider a cheaper rig or no rig at all for now (and you'd get to save the money) Besides, you've been playing for 8months - I'd get A LOT more experience and try out other different brands before I would commit to buy such a monstrous rig. Oh, and BTW, do you really need all that power? O.o I've got a 200W head and its more than enough for my small gigs

well, if I could go back to my early teens, I guess I'd actually bitch to my folks a lot more about getting a bass guitar (instead of buying one only at 17 hehe)
