  1. Just my luck.. he sold it this night
  2. O hi tom! See you found my thread
  3. It's said you need to replace them every 3 years or so because your ears grow... however.. i think it might be a bit over the topc to do so.. every 5 years or so with moulded ones should be fine (if they're not totally greasy after that )
  4. hehe my bad... it's at practice room so couldn't check
  5. my first bass.. a bass collection SB301 'By Marina' First I raped it with stickers and I sold it after a while to buy my Ibanez Roadgear 600... I kinda regret it but the Ibanez was so much better...
  6. a closeup of 'The Jazz' mmm... I think I'd hate to see it go to someone else
  7. I'm not sure about that. However my amp does say 150 watts (300 watt RMS). That might be what could cause some confusion?
  8. Mm... the stagg just looks so nice for a beginner... noone's little brother learning how to play?
  9. Bump and still going also some more pics
  10. cheers for the advices! I'm emailing the guy as we speak. Definately trying it out then! I have an OBP-1 in my Precision Lyte together with some antiquities.. those aguilar boxes are really smexy.
  11. protection is definately the way to go. I usually do a soundcheck of my sound without them, and whilst playing I have them in to make sure my ears are safe, sound should be okay then too. These are my weapon of choice [url="http://www.alpine.nl/EN/consumer_musicsafe_pro.htm"]http://www.alpine.nl/EN/consumer_musicsafe_pro.htm[/url] Different frequency ranges possible (so you might want one ear with more high reduction if you're next to the drummer), and relatively cheap. Then again, everything is cheap when it comes to protection your hearing.
  12. I have a similar amp The number on my amp is 150, which is good for 300 watt. Even this 'little' bro in the series has balls, I run it through an ashdown mag400 and I never have to turn it above 11 o'clock (both gain/outpout). I don't see these amps a lot, so it might be a very small series?
  13. I've tried looking for a thread like this but couldn't find it. I need to know a bit about some old basses I could get, but can't find too much information on. First there's a MIJ Fender Jazz, built between 84-87. How were the Japanese builds at that time? One tuner has been replaced. Current bid around 500 euro's, I could easily top that. [url="http://fotos.marktplaats.nl/kopen/1/00/GXZXY+ulDuqJh8L7SVYmuQ==.jpg"]http://fotos.marktplaats.nl/kopen/1/00/GXZ...8L7SVYmuQ==.jpg[/url] (can't get image tag working for some reason) Also there's this funny bass, A bass collection 'The Jazz' Lindy Fralin pickups, Aguilar OBP-3 preamp, Swamp Ash body & Ebony neck Would cost me about 600 euro's which is approx 475 pounds Could any of these basses be worth buying over a new Fender Jazz (so the 2008 series without S1 switching)? I play desert rock (think QOTSA, Masters of Reality) Help appreciated
  14. *hump da bump*
  15. [quote name='Sarah5string' post='250396' date='Jul 29 2008, 01:58 PM']setlist.. our song Slither - velvet revolver wish you were here - incubus Mr brownstone - GNR random bass/drum guitar swap song Them bones - alice in chains Almost easy - avenged sevenfold Our song. end[/quote] I love the songs! As an advice here (and this will probably sound very annoying): try not to merge too many different styles, but head into one direction especially as a beginning band. That will help you get a certain image of the kind of music you want to play, and possibly more gigs. But for the next concert: Rock out! I'd move incubus a bit more to the back because it's probably a huge crowdpleaser.
  16. *bump* have had a check-up done on it yesterday
  17. It's okay to PM then, I don't mind either style of bidding
  18. Just out of interest what covers are you playing? As said before (but just to mention it again): put your lead through your strap, nothing looks more stupid than someone bending over to put their lead back in Think about what you want to hear on the monitor, and focus on that during rehearsals. If your whole band does this, you can make a small rider out of it, to give to the soundtechs. This might help you get a better onstage sound. If you know the venue, you could also put up how you possibly might want to set the stage (which amp where, which monitor where). Mind however you are with 3 other bands, they might not want to switch too much. But most important: have a great time on stage, try to interact with the other band members!
  19. Probably thursday, then I have to go on holidays unfortunately. When I get back (14th of august) I will immediately contact the winner about how the money will be paid and how I will ship.
  20. edited to new offer
  21. I couldn't have described it better. If I could get this bass 4stringed I would trade it in without any regrets.
  22. is there any place you'd recommend me to go in here?
  23. no, feel free to make open offers lol.. i just realised what you meant... I doubt I will have to refrain from selling
