I've just recently bought a Combustion 4 which has a really slim neck, finish is amazing I was shocked, Bass just sounds and feels great for the price point with such flexible sounds too. They really are worth checking out, I'm seriously considering an NG2 next but a 5. Good luck

I was always passive a J or P guy, however I'm now active with a Stingray 4 & an Overwater 5. I think it comes down to the skill and passion of the maker/builder. There's an interesting utube vid of Scott (bass lessons) discussing this subject with the Wizard Chris May (Overwater). Comes down to personal taste & requirements- tools for the job & your own pleasure. Regards

Hi I've just ordered a Limelight from Mark based on a Fender 62 Jazz Bass, however, with Limelight logo. I also specified a really light relic finish, so period correct tarnishing to metals, colour fade/darken Sherwood Green with matching Headstock, but then block & bound rosewood fingerboard. Just find a photo of a similar model, colour & period correct details & talk to him, he will build to your spec I'm sure, he's a great guy. I've seen reviews of the Limelights where people have preferred them to their Fender Custom shop models & rave about pickups & electrics. Good luck getting the Bass of your dreams.
