1. Simple enough really, One Good condition Squier VMPTB Is up for grabs.
Looking for trades mostly! This is my only working bass at the minute. But by popular demand i will now also be selling it for £150
Its never been giged before. Only one tiny tiny nick in the neck underneath, but no other damage to the bass.
This is a brilliant bass, It up there with my Old Westone Thunder 1A and Fender 1951 P in my top ten best basses. It can play any style brilliantly.
I literally took it to the guitar tech (Luither???) last week and its all setup.

Local pickup or meet within a 80ish miles would be good.
I live in Portsmouth, and i'm willing to travel to London, Brighton, or Anywhere i can get to by train, As long as the trader/buyer chips in a bit for train fare.
I Have No Car! :)

Hardcase included if one is included on the other side of the trade.
Other wise is a Softcase for you

I believe the bit of metal the goes over the top of the string was a first back in the day on the 75 Jazz.
What does this piece of metal do?

3. Anyway, Why is it that bass stack are 90% of the time the 1x15 is on the bottom and 2x10, 4x10 is on top? Is it a question of sound quality?
I heard somewhere around here that turning 2x10 on there side makes them produces better sound. Is that true for other cabs?

4. I've seen a lot of Rack mounted heads about these days, And I, being completely un-informed about a lot of these in the bass world, would Love to know what the whole point of Rack Mount is.
As well what other types of things can you rack mount other than heads, its all terrible confusing.

5. Thanks for all the help guys, and having an arguement on my behalf
But as it looks My local shop has no Hartke cabs to try ;..(
I think i'm going to go for Ashdown ABM, I don't find them wooly, the stack i was trying rattled the ceiling so much 2 of the tiles came off.
I know I'm still a noob, but i think that might be a good measure of good stack, or a good measure of bad contruction :)

Atm I'm looking at buying a Ashdown 2x12 from ages ago and a ABM 500 head. My plan is to buy this and then add a ABM 210/410 or ABM 115.
For those that use 12" speakers, what would be the best option for a more overall sound?
