    I see. It's very, very tempting. Just trying to decide whether to take the step into Active territory. Worried that it might prove a hindrance once I've got over the initial excitement!

    Thank you. Just a couple more things: What's the tone like, more specifically? How does it handle the mids and highs? Is the neck finished well/is it as narrow as most other J-basses?
