1. Potentially I'd like to come, and I dont live too far away. However I havent seen my girlfriend in a couple of weeks so I think I might have to see her (or convince her to come along).

If coming, I shall bring:

Late 80s MIJ Fender P-bass with added J-pup
Markbass LMII
Zoot 210
Zoot 115

SFX X&M pedal crossover
Colorsound Bass Fuzz
Blackout Effectors Musket V2
Boss RE-20 Space Echo
EHX Pog II
OLC Flipster
Ampeg Sub Blaster
Crowther Prunes & Custard

2. Got some pedals for sale, I'm having a fuzz/Distortion shootout and a have to move some things on now.

3XFX Fatman Distortion (V1 - New Verson) - I've owned both the original V2 (which had an oscilator) and this new version that is without the oscilator but does have a Tone control, Noisegate switch AND an internal trimpot to blend in clean tone!! - this is a truly brutal distortion that is pretty much new (I bout it brand new from the states about a month ago) - £115 inc UK postage

Boss OS2 Overdrive/Distortion - not for bass, but great for grunge sounds on guitar - SOLD

Boss Powersupply & Master Switch - £20 inc UK postage

3.
Their shop - its called Stompbox -and is in Northwood Hills, is walking distance form my place. I must go over and try one.

BTW
Basschatter BigJim works in the shop too.
Richard is on BC as well - i think as MindGoneBlank - I could be wrong though. They're great guys, I might hook up with them on my next day off/free saturday :)

Definitely gonna give the MXR a go, I've currently got a boomstick bottom feeder, but I think something a bit more tweakable would be more up my street.

4. Analog with great tracking - I've had good experience with the OC2 and Bass Octave Deluxe, however for analog *beat the f!%k out of your speaker* octaving with great tracking, my Ampeg Sub-Blaster slays all.

I believe the OC3 is digital but without any of the advantages of the pog/hog series ie: 'tracks' whatever you feed it. and the POGs will track whatever you want, but sometimes it does sound a bit fake.

I'm currently rocking the POGII (8 presets, 2 octaves up and down, attack delay, chorus - I use it for alot of different sounds), Ampeg Sub Blaster (for *traditional* octaving) and an OC2 (for synth-bass sounds)

5. I can say first hand that this bass is great, the colour wasnt really for me, but the tone is great, the neck is immensely playable and its a great bass for most styles

6. Hey, well I dont think I tried the MicroFuzz itself with an active bass, but I have used my Colorsound Bass Fuzz with an active alot and it doesnt seem to care what you throw at it, and the Microfuzz is like the Colorsound, Only better....I cant forsee any problems with active basses.

7. Unfortunately I have to sell some of my pedals, to make money for more pedals!

my [SFX] Micro Fuzz - Sold

Boomstick Audio Bottom Feeder (bass-modded DOD 440 Clone) - a wicked envelope filter- burpy and funky without being too funky. I play in a grunge band, and this is the only filter I never felt like a dick using with them. - would like £60 inc UK postage

EXH Nano Holy Grail Reverb -SOLD

I've also got a Di Pinto Belvedere Deluxe (offers around £400) and a Tokai Thunderbird (Black) (offers around £200) that I could to with getting rid of too.

Paypal only please

8. Hey, so i bought this thunderbird on BC really recently. It is everything I expected and more: thick, raunchy, punchy tone, Iconic looks...just generally a beast of a machine. But my new P+J and J+P basses have taken over and I just love them more.

First thing I did was move the upper strap peg to the back of the neck/body - as the Tokai's have a set neck (UNLIKE the Epiphones bolt-on) this was easy enough to do and has largely eliminated the famous Thunderbird neck dive. The bass was sold to me with the 'clip in/slide on' strap pegs, fortunately this is what I also use. Unfortunately I dont have any replacements to hand so you'll have to source them yourselves.

There are a few cosmetic things that I should mention that are visible in the photos below:
1. one of the control knobs has a small triangle of plastic broken off.
2. Where I previously installed a chrome bridge cover, there are holes left over.
3. Where I have moved the top strap peg to the back of the neck, there is a hole where the peg used to be.

2 and 3 are nothing a small amount of wood filler and paint wouldnt disguise.

The bass it self is in ok condition but does have a few little scuffs and scrapes, nothing too deep and also comes with its own fitting softcase.

I'm looking for £185 Including UK Postage

Payment via paypal or cash on collection can be arranged (I live near junction 18 of the M25)

due to work constraints - postage will take place the saturday after the bass sells, unless I have a day off, or if I can arrange someone to go down to the post office for me.
