1. Popped to PMT last night and tried a Fender 70's Classic J bass - lovely! Will have to start saving now me thinks! They have a great selection of basses, I noticed 3 or 4 Spector Re-Bop 4 strings and the Sandbergs and a brilliant looking Musicman Sterling, but didn't have enough time to try them all out Staff were great as usual - worth checking it out
2. I went there the other week and was again impressed with the bass guys who served me - nothing seemed to be too much trouble to them, they were very helpful Also have emailed them with an enquiry and they got straight back to me. I played on a load of basses and really liked the new Squier Jazz Classic Vibe in Olympic White, it was quality and only £249! What was the price for the 70's Classic Jazz bass you refer to?

4. It's sold guys Thanks for all the interest, blimey you fellas are quick!! Will def use BassChat again for selling Cheers Nick
5. Hello everyone For sale is my "old faithful"! It's a 4 string Levinson Blade, Jazz bass shape body in a Deep Purple colour. Gold Hardware and active pickups and electronics, ebony fretboard on a maple neck. This bass is about 10 years old and is very powerful! You'll be able to get a lot of different tones out of it, I've gigged with it for years and it never let me down. Now comes the slight catch! As you'll see from the pictures, I had a fit of "I'm gonna sand my bass down and re-spray it" rage about a year ago, then changed my mind!! It's only on the back of the bass and doesn't affect the way it plays or anything. So bearing this in mind, I'm looking for £150 o.n.o. Any feedback gratefully appreciated
6. Thank you, Waldo, that helps loads - it all makes sense now! I haven't played anything that good for ages - I could dial up so many different tones, so versatile! I found it so easy to play - shame it was only a four string! Would really love to buy a 5 string version of this bass - well maybe one day, eh!
7. Hey everyone Warwick Streamer Jazzman I played one of these beauties this weekend, a 4 string in Ocean Blue - awesome! Please could anyone out there tell me what all the controls do on these basses (especially the switch) - I couldn't figure them out! Cheers Nick
