  1. eubassix - What a fantastic bass - I had a black one with birdseye maple neck a very long time ago (early 90's) - and I'm still annoyed with myself for selling it :( wish I could get this one ...

My newly acquired SSII. I've wanted a Stage II for years but they always seemed to be expensive & unattainable for some reason. Thank the lord for trades!

I'm only really interested in :
Spector Euro5 LX / Lakland DJ5 / Fender RoadWorn Jazz or Precisions

I would prefer a straight sale really ...

    Cheers!

  4. Wow! So pleased you've got one now and that you're enjoying playing it so much too - they really are brilliant bass guitars!
I had flat wounds on mine and it sounded amazing !
I'm thinking about selling my Warwick Streamer now to fund one of these in the sunburst colour - I really shouldn't have sold my red one in the first place !!!
    Enjoy!

  5. Oh yes! :gas:

I had the exact same one - you will not be disappointed, they are absolute quality basses!

I sold mine on to get my Lakland 55-02, but I am seriously condidering getting another (in the sunburst colour though ....)

They are so light and easy to play - I hope you manage to get one soon mate - I'd best get saving then! :)

Sme serious classic 50s P bass love. Mine is the best P I have played. Really good. Great pickup. Mint build. And the deep talkin flats sound just beautiful.

Absolutely !!! nottswarwick has my old classic 50s p bass and I have to admit I'm really missing! (Glad you're enjoying it by the way mate!)

I can heartily recommend these basses - best p bass I've played - go get one.

  7. Thanks guys for all the positive comments - think I've a bass for life here!
The build quality is second to none and the range of sounds (as mentioned above by Dingus) is truly outstanding! I'm one happy bunny!
Hmm maybe a DJ 5 as well then ? 😉

  8. Hi everyone - wanted to share with you all my AMAZING new bass - I got this Lakland 55-02 yesterday from fellow Basschat member and all round good guy andydye.
Not gigged yet but just had a quick play and it's sounds and feels absolutely brilliant - it's a weird feeling, it just seems to "fit" me :-)

Looking forward to my first gig with it soon!
