  1. Excellent amp indeed, I wouldn't part with mine! GLWYS.
  2. Don't you drive on the left side of the road? Don't you use left thread? Don't you use imperial system? Didn't you put the positive of batteries to the ground? Strange to ask such a question, no?
  3. Not really cheap, but it's what is used in classical concert halls: https://www.thomann.de/gb/km_14050_multi_purpose_stool.htm
  4. Did you check König und Meyer? https://www.k-m.de/en/products/drummer-s-thrones-benches-stools/stools/14050-stool-black-imitation-leather?c=167
  5. Speaking German helps a bit, Mick. 😉 There is all the data needed: https://www.ets-hardware.com/index.php/en/impressum-2
  6. Typical switching power supply noise that your new set of lights certainly has. Always connect your amp and pedal board to its "proprietary" socket with nothing else to it.
  7. I think I still have this VHS video with its booklet somewhere... And yes I bought it new at that time... But was disappointed as he was playing a ... fretted bass.
  8. Fine @MuseMatt, you've done it the right way and it's always good to bring back an old bass to life.
  9. If the shielding is totally grounded (so every cavity and the bridge grounded too), no need to put ground leads to the pots (except creating ground loops). Make sure to make a star grounding too. 😉
  10. Are you called Alice? 😂
  11. Or sell non alcoholic beverages only...
  12. I've swapped or installed hundreds of preamps and it's a 10 minutes swap indeed, nothing easier to do, especially when new with a diagram or a schematic. I've also (re)wired totally unknown preamps implying redrawing and/or understanding the circuit itself and also way more complicated electronics jobs, but it's been my job in the mid 90's early 2000's. Sorry Mick, but if your tech can't do such a simple swap, he's not a tech at all to me.
  13. There is this excellent pedal for sale here:
  14. Here's the full pots Aguilar schematic if you ave any doubts, just reassemble the pots. 😉 https://www.bestbassgear.com/wiring-diagrams/v-bl-t--msw-b-ap-tone.pdf
  15. Yes, your schematic is totally correct.
  16. A one string bass, or if you play in Metallica a no string bass is perfect or a totally unwired bass.
  17. @NickA, I own a made to measure Leduc sixer EUB that I used a lot when playing in a jazz duet making rearranged covers of French "standards".
  18. Marleaux Tonwerk. Richter StepAbout. TrickFish Minnow. TrickFish Trilobite. To name a selection of the best pedal preamp still available new and models that I tried.
  19. Following! 😊
  20. That's why I wrote Yves only needs 2 and put his versions of Teen Town and Donna Lee. But Yves Carbonne also plays a 12 strings (no octave) fretless bass, so he plays (like I do) whatever he wants or what the music needs at that moment. It's not lame to say every time someone points out a fiver, sixer or higher "Jaco only needed 4", when he's known to have played a fiver for some time: it's just silly stupid.
  21. He used a 3 strings double bass, just like any player of the same period, definitely not a 1 string double bass. 😉 That said he played a few instruments too including guitar and violin...
  22. With actual photos, it would be far better !
  23. 80's Aria and other Japanese brands pickups were similar. 😉
  24. Don't know if he can play Chromatic Fantasy on his 2 strings bass, but he can play Donna Lee. 😉
