Currently watching Katy Perry.

As I suspected the band, and especially the bass player are world class.

It's a cycical thing.

We get the same sort of articles over here every few years.

I remember journalists claiming guitar music was dying in the 90s just before the Britpop explosion of the 90s, and again shortly before Artic Monkeys inspired a whole load of new guitar bands.

Radiohead peaked with 2nd album 'The Bends' for me as well, Okay Computer was pretty decent as well.

As far as I'm concerned with Kid A they started veering off in a direction that really wasn't for me.

Saw them live at V a few years ago though and I couldn't fault their live show.

If they play both albums at a slightly more upbeat tempo plus the extended version of Fools Gold, there's probably not much more than 90 mins of original Stone Roses material.

If he'd annouced one date in the midlands I'd have been there.

I looked into blue tooth wireless about a year ago,in all the systems I found reviwed, all of them had too much latency for live practice or performance.

At that level you're not buying an instrument, your investing capital into an object you hope is going to significantly appreciate in value over the next few years or at the very worst it won't depreciate.

People do the same with art and vintage Ferraris.

Onve aquired it goes into storage never to be viewed again until the next sale.

Listened to the first song which I enjoyed ina sort of bewildered way.

Will check the rest out later.

Worth watching just to see the world's smallest pair of maracas.

The one year I went, I saw Alanis Morissette turn out an awful set (she kept playing terrible harmonica solos at every opportunity, she literally played the same three notes on every song, in a slightly different order).

But I did see the Manics turn out a pristine set, then, after Alanis I was just in time to see the Prodigy in their full glory in the big tent.

I used to live near Stratford upon Avon, about 5 miles away from the old Phoenix festival at Long Martston.

All you could ever hear of the festival was Boom Boom Boom to various rhythms.

When the wind was blowing in the right direction you might hear the occasional crowd roar.

Bass frequencies travel.

Mate of mine at school had the 4 string version.

Lovely basses, ridiculously light, I've owned heavier skinny stringers.

According to this it's going to be a 'mini set' from the original band.

I'm almost tempted to break my 'no arenas' gig rule for this.

I saw Alice live 4 or 5 times in my youth, but I think the original line up split about a year after I was born. It would be great to see them live.

The whole Dookie album by Green Day is a masterclass in modern (ish) pop punk playing.

Arguably it was the album that launched a thousand other bands, all trying to get 'that' sound.

Superb player, terrible tutorial.

I'm really starting to thing that next years purchase might be a natural maple fingerboard v7 fretless.

My only reservation is the busy control lay out.

I love Hi Beams but in January I purchased a bass that came with Fender Nickle rounds fitted as stock.

I've actually been very impressed with them, very bright and zingy and they're still going strong after 6 months, which considering I've been working on my slap technique for most of that time is pretty good going.

I will want to put Hi Beams on the bass at some point, if only to see how they sound with that bass, but the Fender Nickles have impressed me.

They're also a fair bit cheaper than the DRs.
