Thanks to everyone for making me welcome and to the organisers (looked like everyone was helping out in some way, somewhere) for putting it all together. Hello Bass-chatters, Thank you for airing BGM in your forums. It's virtually impossible for me to respond to each and every item of comment and will be difficult to even follow up from this mail as I'm now in the final stages of the next issue production. As most of my time is spent with the magazine you'll only find me dropping in occasionally - no offence meant if I don't reply to a post! I do read the forums and many others that take the magazine as a topic. There are so many issues raised that I think I will have to pencil in the next available Bass Bash to say hello and take on board what's been raised. Communicating one-to one or one to many (!) often reaps greater reward than a misinterpreted post in my opinion. It's impossible to please every bass player all the time but we do strive to reach as many players as possible and if Bass Chatters feel opportunities are being missed I always try to put those matters right. There are however some commercial realities that sometimes tie our hands and to be compared to other publications that have publishing budgets running in the millions is something I can't do a great deal about. I'd love BGM to look like Autocar but we'd need a lot more money! No other UK mag feels a bass specialist mag is worth it. Even the US Bass Guitar Magazine has pulled the plug for low-enders last year. We are celebrating our 6th year and want many more! I hope you'll find our next issue exciting and refreshing. There's some product exclusive reviews, a MEGA stomp box feature and much more. The cover artist will of course inspire debate...
