  1. Thats a shame Manwithvan, give me a shout if you're passing
  2. Cheers Jonnyboy, also great skinny neck if you've got smaller hands,I forgot to mention that bit, low mid punch is still its best feature though, particularly with my old strings, do sound good with brighter strings on too as some of my students got later models on my recommendation, and I was a bit jealous of that nice bubbly zingy sound they had.
  3. can anyone recommend a great amp repairer/service in the Derby area? any help much appreciated Cheers Paul

  6. My feedback page
  7. Better pics and info, as you can now see in almost perfect condition, Some Ashdown info on their flagship range Weighs 52 lbs on my scales but is still an easy carry uses custom developed Neodymium speakers which incorporate a number of advanced features including: a cast aluminum chassis with thin brackets to avoid sound wave reflections, a magnet circuit with heat sink rims to ensure rapid heat dissipation and decompression holes in the cone. The result is a range of ultra-lightweight bass drivers that just keep getting louder as the level is increased, delivering a powerful, consistent bass tone at all volume levels and with no power loss over long performances
  8. Based in Derby, looking for cash on collection ideally, could possibly meet if not too far
  9. Only used for a couple of rehearsals, top quality, great sound and loud , just completed my Markbass rig, so now surplus, rated at 550 watts rms, and is not too heavy being neo, Will get some more pics and specs up soon
  10. Bump for a great playing and sounding bass, almost withdrew it today after playing it through my markbass
  11. Just sold my double bass to Cal, great communication and great to deal with.
  12. Forgot to mention some of the chrome has come off at the top of the bridge as shown (not that clearly) in the last pic about 10mm square
  13. early version of the OLP 5 string, purchased this around 2002, as I wanted a really punchy low mid sound that would cut through when using bass bins , did its job brilliantly, as you can see from the colour of the fingerboard it has done a lot of gigs, but stood up pretty well still sounds great, though most people would probably prefer some new strings on it as I think these were still the originals it came with It has a couple of small dings which I have shown in the pics, and I sanded off the varnish very carefully years ago as I preferred the natural look plays great, with a nice low action Great cheap 5, string with narrow string spacing pick up only from Derby, not looking for any trades Thanks
  14. I've had a really good look over this, but cant find any dings, so basically like brand new, just plugged in and checked all working and sounding good, in very dark brown colour ( looks better than that sounds), cash on collection welcome, (reasonable offers considered) based in Derby Cheers Paul
  15. £220 This ones had a tough life as the pics show the scroll end has been knocked off though could easily be put back on, it is very playable but ideally needs a good set up, cant find anything on the maker but is possibly a 60s instrument, from the one reference i have found, which had anno 1962 on it, The neck head join has been repaired at some point I've owned it for about 8 years now, and no sign of it coming loose, or causing any problems, there is a slight rattle on the C note on the G string hence the set up required, overall to me it makes a pleasant sound if you can live with the numerous splits chips and dings based in Derby also [attachment=199145:image.jpeg][attachment=199146:image_1.jpeg][attachment=199147:image_3.jpeg][attachment=199148:image_4.jpeg][attachment=199149:image_5.jpeg][attachment=199150:image_6.jpeg][attachment=199151:image_7.jpeg][attachment=199152:image_8.jpeg][attachment=199153:image_10.jpeg][attachment=199154:image_11.jpeg]comes with the P and H bow which cost around £60 new
  16. Great, thanks for that, I've noticed that my traveller definitely has a naturally deeper sound than the Ashdown, and was wondering if the HF version is noticeably deeper than the Traveller, if that was the case its definitely time for a swap,
  17. Hi has anyone ever A B,d these 2 cabs, Ive also got a traveller 210, and Im thinking of a possible swap to all Markbass but not sure how the 2 compare, specs on the Ashdown seem to be better than the Markbass, and it is a good sounding cab, rated at 550 watts, currently using an LM3 head Any opinions on this much appreciated Cheers Paul
  18. Big thank you to Mark, for finding and sending me a long lost transcription Cheers Paul
