Curtis Novak Boutique Precision pickup
"Charlie Christian style pickup made to fit in a P Bass! P-90 style bar magnet give nice organic growl and overdrives. The fatter coil gives a fuller/wider tone without a mid peak like the PB-90."
all spec on Curtis Novak Website:
www.curtisnovak.com/product-category/bass/
If i have to describe in my words:
The sound is really fat and organic but not too boomy... output is not too hot but the sound is really outstanding.

I am selling this bass which was commissioned and made by an Italian luthier expert in making copies of historical instruments (Max Pagan)
I wanted to recreate a copy of a 1951 precision .. I didn't want a Fender custom shop instrument, as I didn't like the "U" neck profile that fender makes on its models.
The body is swamp ash, light and resonant.
Neck and fingerboard are in flamed maple.
the nitro varnishing is in an extreme relic as I requested, to be coherent with a well played instrument of that era.
Fender and Gotoh hardware, true bakelite pickguard,
pickups are commissioned from Curtis Novak!
NOS condenser electronics.
The profile of the neck as mentioned is much more playable and can be compared with a more comfortable "oval C"
price 1250€ (plus shipping to quote)
bass located in Italy

Big Berg!
I’ve been looking at the Sisma.i've owned and tried all the top of the line bass heads during last years... (Aguilar db750, Glockengklang Blue Sky, Aguilar TH700, Quilter BB800, Ampeg SVT-VR, SVT2, Gallien Krueger RB800, 1001RB, Bergantino B-amp, Demeter Tube preamp and Alembic preamp with Power amp.. and more)
nothing sounds like this little monster!!!! never heard an amp with a faster power section.. it's incredible and now i can't play with other stuff!!
even the simple headphone output is in pure class A, and with its 5 watts it can even power a small speaker in a home/studio situation

Bass dating back to the first Nash productions.. (before 2005) when Bill still didn’t put any decals and only built to order.. (writing the buyer’s initials on the neck and body) (I have an email exchange with Bill Nash who testifies the What)
Type Reissue 57 Precision, fiesta red nitro finish relic.
Alder body, maple neck and fretboard (shape, a cross between "soft V 57" and "Oval C", very comfortable in my opinion)
Fender pickup (I don’t know the model but it looks like a CS)
Original case
Thumbrest, pickup cover and bridge cover included
4kg on my bathroom scale.
one of the most convincing basses ever heard with flatwound strings.. (currently using it in this configuration), perfect fretworks and action.
aesthetically and in terms of sound, construction and feeling, comparable to the best Fender Custom Shops that have passed through my hands.
Price 1800€ Euro shipped to your doorlocated in Italy
trades welcome.. (looking for rickenbacker or gibson basses)

I guess the differences between both in terms of character… what was the coda modelled after or what can it compare to etc…… I will ask the guys too if I’m in the market but really shouldn’t be this year as I’m right in the middle of downsizing and really don’t need more than the R400 + BF Two10 - I’m trading sight unseen but trying it out with the band right after.
still Capo and Motorcycle going in front of the amp anyway.
Ander.
i asked to Mauro, che "chief" of J&F
the CODA and SISMA have the both the same power amp section.
but CODA change in the preamplifier, which is a straight, balanced or unbalanced hi fi preamplifier input,
the gain control can also slightly saturate.
it's like a gallien krueger but without equalizer, but with transformer equipped DI.
a simple, straight bass head, as if it were a simple power amp.
i hope to have explained in a good way... sorry for my english 😁

Yes. I have the Capo too.. fixed in my pedal board..
very useful, you can practically do anything with it. Both as a real preamp and as an effect to saturate and color the sound in a different way
very interesting demonstration videos will soon be released on the Jad&Freer youtube page

thanks a lot mate, this is great info.
Grazie
Altro.
unfortunately I've never been interested in the Coda 😅
... but if you need I can find out, what did you want to know??
