2. I can recommend the Cube 30, use it every day for practice, but not enough volume for anything serious.
3. glad to have you on board
4. :crigon_04:Hi Dimitris, welcome to Basschat
5. Spent two great days, got a good deal on strings - live highlights were Freekbass, Federico Malaman and Michael Manring. Curiously attracted to all the Le Fay basses
6. Welcome I use a mix - online for theory/tips but you can't beat face to face.
7. Weber was the principal reason I started playing bass, have been a fan since the seventies when I bought The Colours of Chloe. A unique bassist - I think he's even been on some of Kate Bush's albums.
8. Hi, a warm welcome to Basschat from a southerner
9. I checked on this before I last bought from Thomann and the VAT is already in the UK quoted price, which they explain on their FAQs http://www.thomann.de/gb/faq_question_do_i_have_to_pay_value_added_tax_vat.html So sadly there's no escape!
10. Yeah, I was hoping to find something positive now I've got a bass for sale but it really puts you off.
11. Hi, and welcome from deepest Hampshire
12. Hi, I've no idea about the neck plate and logo, I'm afraid, and I'd always assumed the bass was originally built that way. Also I've seen pics of other Haymans with perspex bridge covers etc but this one has never had them fitted, well at least there are no screw holes. I haven't sold over t'nternet before, so am concerned about entrusting this lovely instrument to the tender mercies of a courier. However........ Regards
13. I understand Hayman basses were manufactured 1971 - 1973, and I swapped my Burns Flyte for this one in 1978 There are dents and scuffs as you would expect. It has stacked pots which sometimes sound a little scratchy, and I haven't tried to cure. Maple neck and staggered spit pick-up under the Perspex. The control plate has two selector switches, and it needs a splitter/stereo cable to operate properly - I will include a cheap cable - it won't work with a 'mono' cable. Basschatters are welcome to try before you buy, cash on collection. I'm not into trading, shipping or couriers but might be persuaded to deliver for petrol money in Hants/W.Sussex area.
