1. I'm looking for a bassless backing track for an exam where I am performing 'Come on, come over' by Jaco Pastorius. I have had karaokeversions.com recommended to me, but they don't have one and am struggling to find any backing tracks for this song. Any ideas where I can try? Thanks, Mike
2. So I'm looking to improve my fingerstyle technique and want to read some books that could help.. I've already got fingerstyle funk. Any suggestions? Cheers
3. Just so that if the strings hit the pickups you don't get a horrible popping sound. Happens sometimes when you have a low action particularly on jazz basses

Has an upgraded bridge and a Ki0gon Jazz bass wiring loom as well as new volume and tone knobs (the old ones will be included). It's just been restrung, but could maybe do with a set up. Its a year old and in perfect condition so this is a bit of a steal with the mods I'd prefer to avoid using couriers and am based in Bristol, UK. 7. What is a router? Sorry I don't have much experience in changing pickups haha. I think I would prefer to install a MM pickup if I'm honest, but wouldn't I need to make the bass active to get the same sort of tone? Also that bass looks extremely tasty
8. So basically I want to modify my Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass and want to change the pickups to sound very close to a musicman, with that nice growl and top end. I don't know too much about pickups so I was just wondering how possible this is without having to fit a new preamp or do anything to extensive? Any information would be massively appreciated Mike
9. John made passive wiring looms for both my CV Precision and VM Jazz, they both sound great and were super easy to install! Really nice guy and was patient with any questions I had to ask
10. I want to change the pots and caps to go with some Seymour Duncan Quarterpounders in my Squier 70s CV P-Bass and have decided on these pots http://ebay.eu/1zRAzpc but I'm not sure on caps yet. I'm thinking 0.047 microfarad orange drops, but I'm not sure what the difference in voltage makes? Could anyone help me out? Cheers
11.
Did showcases years ago, but wasn't committed enough back then.
How did those showcases go? Where did you do them? How did you find people to invite?
12. Basically I'm starting a function band and putting on a showcase event for a project at uni and need to write an essay on how it is viable. My real question is how do you find clients as a beginning function band? Has anyone here done a sort of showcase event for a function band or been to one? How did it go? Any potential pitfalls? Any help would be appreciated guys! Cheers
13. Hi guys, Was just trying to find out some more information about this bass. It's a Fender Power Jazz Special, made in Japan '84-'87, some minor cosmetic damage but that's it. Here's a link to the manual. http://bit.ly/1sYztVg I'm thinking about selling it so was wondering whether anyone would be able to tell me how much it's worth or give me an estimate? Cheers
