1.
Oooh I like Stingrays and green basses!
Well this is green AND a Stingray. Shall I just give you my bank details and we'll say no more ;-)
 2. Hi all - If you're looking at this then you probably know your apples from your oranges already. All the usual Stingray goodness with the added versatility of a single coil on the neck. Five way selector switch to configure the pickups to your liking. 3 way active EQ. Mine is a sort of forest green colour with a black scratch plate, maple neck and fingerboard and chrome hardware. Very good condition and still looks very smart but is certainly not a 'minter'. The fingerboard is quite grubby. I'm told this can be sorted with steel wool but I quite like it as it is. There are one or two chips here and there which I've tried to picture. There's a little corrosion on the pole pieces of the hum-bucker. Again, this just makes it look slightly aged and played-in and doesn't effect the sound. The previous owner added a thumb rest. I'm sure this is easily removed but I found it quite useful. Functionally, it is spot on. Very comfortable on the strap and easy to play. Recently re-strung with nickel-wound slinky's and the setup is great. Sounds gorgeous. Comes with original MM hardcase (very good condition) Usual irritating sideways pictures I'm afraid. Feel free to save the images and rotate them on your desktop for a proper look. That's what I usually do anyway. I'm looking for a sale ideally but may consider the following trades - - Fender American Standard Precision Bass (4 and 5 strings considered) - Fender American Standard Jazz Bass V - Fender American Deluxe Jazz Bass V If you have anything similar to offer I'd certainly be up for a ganders too! Based in Gloucester but I travel all over for gigs (particularly London) so may be able to meet. PM me if you have any questions. Thanks. 3. No castors or covers I'm afraid. Neither are particularly heavy or awkward to lift though (23kg for the combo, slightly less for the extension cab)
 4. Hi guys - I'm looking to move on my beaut of a Genz Benz rig. It is made up of a Contour 500 210 combo and a 'Live' Series 2x10 extension cab. Happy to split if needs be. Power and speaker leads included. Was £450 Price Drop £400 **Now £350 all in!!!** I'll let Genz Benz give you the rundown - Here is a link to the website with full specs on the combo - http://www.genzbenz....&sid=705&cid=95 I remember seeing these combos for £600 when they were still available from Bass Direct. Here's a link to the specs for the extension cab - http://www.genzbenz....sid=631&cid=118 I have found it to be a great sounding, easy to use, east to transport rig with plenty of power when needed. Packed with mod cons too - mute button, balanced XLR out, aux in, headphone socket etc. Functionally, everything is spot on. The only negative points are aesthetic. Some Roqsolid covers or similar would prevent further wear. There are a good few marks here and there. One of the corner mounts is missing on the combo too. This doesn't effect stability as it is on rubber feet. The only other thing is a small crack on the port of the combo (pictured). It is structurally solid and is more of a hairline crack. It still looks plenty smart enough for a posh wedding venue (first pic is a wedding in Kew Gardens). I am based in between Gloucester and Cheltenham and you are very welcome to come and try it out. I also travel all over the place for gigs so if you're worried about distance I may be heading to a town near you soon. I'm looking for a sale ideally but I may be interested in trades, particularly TC gear. Ideally a BH800 and either K or RS series cabs in 2x10 or 2x12 config. PM if you have any questions or want to make an offer. Cheers
 5. Bump - Remember, I'm very happy to sell the East pre-amp (perfect condition with box) separately and re-fit the bass with the US control panel so you can buy one or the other or both.
 6. Hi guys - this is a near mint condition VM 5 in olympic white/ maple. It has the following upgrades/ additions:

John East - J-tone Pre-amp (cost £149)
Fender American Jazz pickups and wiring
Hipshot tuners
Tortoise pick guard
Fender jazz headstock logo (60's style possibly?)
Also included:

Previously upgraded Fender American control panel, should you want to return to a passive setup (chrome panel, black knobs)
New Stagg gig bag
It is currently strung with Dunlop Super Brights (45-125 I believe). Setup is great In summary, whoever buys this will be getting an excellent condition Squier VM Jazz 5, with upgrades from John East, Hipshot and US Fender, with an optional extra passive control panel and a nice little gig bag. If you were thinking of buying a new one of these, this is in just as good condition but comes with some great extras. Below is a YouTube link of me attempting to play some Jaco on it. Please be gentle, I've only been playing for a year and I've got an awful long way to go. It'll give you a chance to see the guitar in action though (before I added the pre). https://www.youtube....h?v=Xq1o_JnHLXI I'm based in Gloucester and you're very welcome to come over and check it out. I also gig all over the country so if you're worried that I'm too far away, I might be playing in a town near you soon. **PRICE DROP £350** May accept trades for a nice amp - with cash adjustment either way if needed. 7. Bump - Looking for a Stingray 5 at the minute so if you have one and fancy a change, drop me a message!
 8. Hi all - I bought this recently to repair my Squire VM Jazz 5. Unfortunately it's the wrong fit. The VM bridge is quite a bit wider, I'm guessing to give the wider string spacing. This bridge must be for standard Jazz 5s. The part number is 0057814000. I'd send it back but I bought I mail ordered it from France so it'll probably cost me more in postage than it's worth. Yours for £10 plus a couple of quid postage.

 10.
Damn Will! So tempted, making me question my decision to go for a TM5. I had a noodle on this beauty last night. Awesome instrument.
Thanks dude. Glad you like it :-)

 12. Hi guys - I have two new and unopened boxes of XL Nickel Wounds for sale. Each box contains two full four-string sets. They are medium-gauge, long-scale strings. The gauges are .50/.70/.85/.105. £25 per box (£12.50 per set) or £45 for both boxes (£11.25 per set) delivered.
 13. Hi guys - I'm selling my beautiful Sandberg California VM5. I bought it used from a chap who owned it from new. I'm not 100% sure on the colour. It's either Tobacco or some kind of brown burst I'm guessing. Either way, it's a satin finish and as you can see from the pictures, it's bloody lovely! It has chrome hardware and a 3-ply black/white/tortoise pick guard. There are no front facing inlays or dots, just side dots. Looks great and I've never had any trouble knowing where I am on the fingerboard in dark venues. I bought some glow in the dark fret markers and a charging pen from Glowtec just incase but I've never needed them so they're unopened. I'll include these in the sale. I believe the guy I bought it from specified Haussel pickups when he ordered it as a factory upgrade instead of the standard Delanos that Sandbergs usually come with. They sound fantastic. The hardware is all solid and in great condition. All I have done since owning it is replaced two of the pots. The volume knob was wonky and must have had a knock at some point. The bass eq knob was a bit rough and scratchy. I've had them professionally replaced and now they're spot on. Other than that I've just given it a bloody good clean and a setup. It's a serious bit of kit. I only started playing bass recently and I've never been able to hear the difference between instruments and have always wondered what people meant when they talked about tone, until now! You can hear how good it's going to sound when you play it acoustically. It vibrates through your whole body. Very rich and full. When you plug it in, it really comes to life. The ebony fingerboard sounds bright and clear and is backed up by plenty of muscle from the tone woods in the body and neck. Really tight neck pocket. Currently strung with D'addarios, I believe. Very low action. Original Sandberg gig bag included. Bad points - One mark on the upper part of the body where your forearm would rest (pictured). Hardly noticeable and particularly not while you're playing. Sandberg offer aged finishing and this looks like a mark that you might find on one of their 'soft-aged' basses. One or two other small marks but all in all it still feels very fresh and new. Comes fitted with Dimarzio strap locks and strap. I'm selling as I'm still trying to figure out what I like. I've only been playing for a year and this is my sixth instrument. I'm really enjoying trying new basses but I'm sure I'll miss this one. Here are the specs as far as I know - Ash body Maple neck Ebony fingerboard (no fret markers) Chrome hardware 35" scale 22 frets Zero fret Haussel pickups (bridge hum bucker and p-style split-coil neck pickup) Glockenklang pre-amp (9v circuit) Push-pull active/passive volume control -Pickup blend - Active Bass/ Active treble (acts as tone in passive mode) Sandberg gigbag I'm based in Gloucester and you're welcome to drop in and check it out. I also travel all over for gigs so could possibly meet somewhere. Happy to courier at buyer's expense. I've probably forgotten some stuff so please feel free to message with questions/ offers. I would prefer a sale but would be very interested in a Stingray 5 if you have one you'd like to trade. Sorry about the sideways pictures. Very frustrating! Please use the link below to take a proper look. http://s1374.photobu...5?sort=3&page=1
