1.
Whereabouts are you?
Based in between Gloucester and Cheltenham.
 2.
Is it possible the combo used to be mine a couple of years ago? i sold one on here with an identical small crack in exactly the same spot at the foot of the combo, that's why I ask.. Tempted to buy it back tho,as I have no gigging amp atm.. Do you have a price in mind for just the combo without the cab?
It might be. I bought it from a chap who lives in Cornwall. We met at his other house in Bristol to do the deal. Was that you? Anyhow, feel free to PM me an offer :-)
 3.
That is, quite frankly, a mad price. Whoever buys this should pick the rig up looking like this ;-)
Ha!!! Thanks mate
 4.
How much does the bass weight?
Not sure I'm afraid. I don't even have any bathroom scales at the moment. It's lighter than my Jazz 5 (which isn't a very heavy bass). I'd say it's light for a Precision 5. It's light for a bass full stop :-)
 5. Bump - Open to offers on the selling price obviously. Just a ballpark.
 6. Hi all. I Bought this used from the Gallery. it's in great condition and beautifully set up as you'd imagine. A few odd marks here and there but still looks very fresh. Functionally it's spot on. No issues. I believe it's a pre-2008 model so doesn't have the hi-mass bridge, custom shop pickup or lightweight tuners. However, the hardware and pickups are great, the bass balances very well and is super comfortable to play. Sounds just as you would expect - Fat as F**K!! If you're looking at this then you know what's on offer. Beautiful simplicity! Will include the same basic gig bag that the gallery sold it with. Sale Price now £800 Thanks
 7.
Oooh I like Stingrays and green basses!
Well this is green AND a Stingray. Shall I just give you my bank details and we'll say no more ;-)
 8. Hi all - If you're looking at this then you probably know your apples from your oranges already. All the usual Stingray goodness with the added versatility of a single coil on the neck. Five way selector switch to configure the pickups to your liking. 3 way active EQ. Mine is a sort of forest green colour with a black scratch plate, maple neck and fingerboard and chrome hardware. Very good condition and still looks very smart but is certainly not a 'minter'. The fingerboard is quite grubby. I'm told this can be sorted with steel wool but I quite like it as it is. There are one or two chips here and there which I've tried to picture. There's a little corrosion on the pole pieces of the hum-bucker. Again, this just makes it look slightly aged and played-in and doesn't effect the sound. The previous owner added a thumb rest. I'm sure this is easily removed but I found it quite useful. Functionally, it is spot on. Very comfortable on the strap and easy to play. Recently re-strung with nickel-wound slinky's and the setup is great. Sounds gorgeous. Comes with original MM hardcase (very good condition) Usual irritating sideways pictures I'm afraid. Feel free to save the images and rotate them on your desktop for a proper look. That's what I usually do anyway. I'm looking for a sale ideally but may consider the following trades - - Fender American Standard Precision Bass (4 and 5 strings considered) - Fender American Standard Jazz Bass V - Fender American Deluxe Jazz Bass V If you have anything similar to offer I'd certainly be up for a ganders too! Based in Gloucester but I travel all over for gigs (particularly London) so may be able to meet. PM me if you have any questions. Thanks. 9. Bump - now interested in trades for 4-string 'P' style basses.
 10. No castors or covers I'm afraid. Neither are particularly heavy or awkward to lift though (23kg for the combo, slightly less for the extension cab)
 11. Hi guys - I'm looking to move on my beaut of a Genz Benz rig. It is made up of a Contour 500 210 combo and a 'Live' Series 2x10 extension cab. Happy to split if needs be. Power and speaker leads included. Was £450 Price Drop £400 **Now £350 all in!!!** I'll let Genz Benz give you the rundown - Here is a link to the website with full specs on the combo - http://www.genzbenz....&sid=705&cid=95 I remember seeing these combos for £600 when they were still available from Bass Direct. Here's a link to the specs for the extension cab - http://www.genzbenz....sid=631&cid=118 I have found it to be a great sounding, easy to use, east to transport rig with plenty of power when needed. Packed with mod cons too - mute button, balanced XLR out, aux in, headphone socket etc. Functionally, everything is spot on. The only negative points are aesthetic. Some Roqsolid covers or similar would prevent further wear. There are a good few marks here and there. One of the corner mounts is missing on the combo too. This doesn't effect stability as it is on rubber feet. The only other thing is a small crack on the port of the combo (pictured). It is structurally solid and is more of a hairline crack. It still looks plenty smart enough for a posh wedding venue (first pic is a wedding in Kew Gardens). I am based in between Gloucester and Cheltenham and you are very welcome to come and try it out. I also travel all over the place for gigs so if you're worried about distance I may be heading to a town near you soon. I'm looking for a sale ideally but I may be interested in trades, particularly TC gear. Ideally a BH800 and either K or RS series cabs in 2x10 or 2x12 config. PM if you have any questions or want to make an offer. Cheers
