    24 fret bass.

Cool! I'll check it out. I have been thinking about a sadowsky 24 because i love their 21 basses but again its made to order.....
  2. Im still looking for a new bass and I could do with a few suggestions. I need one with 24 frets, 4 strings, tonally it needs to cover as many styles as possible and budget in looking around £2000. I would like to not buy a custom bass because i want to be able to try one before a buy. So give my suggestions because im running out of ideas!!!! Thanks
  3. I have HUGE action but still tap loads :S Does this make me strange?! lol
  4. Does anyone have one of these basses? If you do could you tell me about it with regards to gigging and recording? Also does anyone in Scotland have one? Thanks

To do so, the body of the bass would have to be redesigned - as a minimum, depth of the neck pocket to facilitate fitting a 24-fret neck while maintaining a 34" scale length. But my question would be, how much time do you actually spend above the 20th fret on the G string? Unless a substantial amount of your playing is on this region of the touchboard, is your requirement for a 24-fret neck a necessary one? The notes available to you on the 21st to 24th frets on the E, A and D string are all available to you elsewhere on the touchboard. Opting for a 20-fret neck on a bass you have identified as being perfect for you as opposed to a 24-fret neck on a bass that isn't seems almost perverse. If I were you, I’d give serious consideration to what my actual playing requirements were.[/quote] I use the high frets often when playing melodies and tapping and there are tunes that i play with my band that could not be played without them. Maybe if i was REALLY nice to them....lol
  6. Im getting a new bass and i found one that i REALLY like, Lakland Joe Osborn. But the problem is it only has 20 frets and i need 24 I email the company about my problem as was told that they would not fit it with a 24 fret neck. Does anyone know if there is any way to get them to or have a solution to my problem? Thnaks

  14. Well I can get the skyline for about £900 and im not really wanting to spend much over £1100. I have to say that the skyline is in sunburst which wouldnt be my 1st choice...
  15. I was in a guitar shop a few days ago and I got the chance to play a skyline version of the bass. It was really great im all ways and im thinking of buying it. I was wondering if anyone has played the US model? I have read what the differences are but im wondering if there is anything about the US model that makes it a lot batter than the skyline version. Has anyone got any thoughts?
