1. The bass and drums on this track are programmed by Richard Bull. "Surreal’s penultimate track, “The Way You Love,” is collaboration with my dear friend and Incognito contributor Richard Bull, and as can be expected, his drum grooves and his bass lines dominate the proceedings, creating a muscular platform for the unison vocals to dance on." - Bluey http://news.allaboutjazz.com/getting-surreal-one-on-one-with-bluey-maunick-of-incognito.php
 2.
Adore the bass playing on this track. i hope i havent posted this before. anyways, what is it.? sounds like a Yamaha.? jazz bass.?
It's the Scarbee MM bass, a Music Man Stingray with flatwound strings.
 3.
I've been cleaning the house and its been a joy, because this is playing. by the way the bass playing is either Richard Bull on the keys, or Francis on the stringed thing.
I'm on 'Rapture' & 'Hats'. Richard Bull
 4.
It's the ultimate expression of a keyboard player encroaching on bass territory.
I'm not a keyboard player; I'm a guitarist, so I put a lot of thought into making a bass track, which usually comes about as part of the writing process with Bluey. Occasionally they'll be handed over to a bass player to record which is what happened on the Positivity album; mostly my bass lines but played by Randy. Besides, I like to think that what I do is beneficial to the craft of bass playing and my work has certainly benefited some bass players! Bluey told me that they used 'Colibri' at Berkley as part of their bass curriculum, thinking that it was a live bass track! In fact, most people assume that it was recorded by Randy, which is one hell of a compliment. Who played what on 'Tribes, Vibes & Scribes' can be found here. Richard Bull
 5. It's not Francis H, Filippo Rinaldi or even RHT! Apart from two titles (Ain't Nobody's Business' & 'Why Did I Let You Go'), which were programmed by Ski Oakenfull, I programmed all of the bass tracks on this album. The same way I did with 'Colibri' only with way better kit! Cheers Richard Bull
