Up for sale is my Ibanez Silver Series Jazz bass - serial number dates it to mid-1978, which is roughly the time they stopped producing them. The Silver Series were the best of the Fender clones produced by Ibanez in Japan in the 70s, and this one is no exception. Nice slim maple neck with white block inlays and binding, which I haven't seen on any other Silver Series bass. The pickups sound somewhat chunkier than a standard jazz bass (sound a bit like Dimarzios to me). Body appears to be ash of some sort. There are plenty of scuffs and dings as you might expect on an instrument of this age, and someone has drilled holes for a cover over the bridge (cover included), but everything works as it should Comes with a non-orginal hardcase. Please excuse the poor photography, will replace with better ones!

Price Drop: £950 Carvin SB5000, bought new in 2013 direct from Carvin. Hardly played out, mainly for home use. - Swamp ash body with flamed maple top (antique brown stain) - Rosewood neck with white mother of pearl block inlays. Clear gloss finish to back of the neck. - Rosewood knobs: Volume/Volume/Tone (pull up for passive), Bass and Treble - J99A Pickups. Active preamp powered by two 9-volt batteries. - Can be strung through bridge or through body. - Matching flamed Icon headstock - Black pickguard, but come with an additional replacement white pearloid pickguard + ashtray - Original Carvin hardcase, instructions etc - There is a small ding in the finish next to the input jack (photo pending) Sad to be selling this, but really looking to pick up a vintage Musicman of some sort. It is a truly great bass. The reviews across the net speak for themselves. Super low action, very easy to play. This model is also now discontinued.
