The Omni 10/10.5 plans have now been replaced by the Jack 10 plans. Still a relatively simple build, by all accounts and it must be a great cab for Bill to consider it superior to the Omni. There is also a 12" version.
I'm supprised that the Omni's have been discontinued... does anybody know the reason? -
+1 for swapping out USA pups.... a bit weak for my liking. I threw a set P/J set of EMG selects, passive, and it did wonders for the bass!
These were some pretty seriously cheap pups too! -
there are some pics :
not a good looking break, no guarantee that just glueing it would be enough to hold it together as there's no big flat surfaces
Surly the larger the surface area the better the glue with hold.... a flat surface has a smaller surface area than a lumpy one...
I've never fixed a broken neck so what would I know! -
Darn, oh well!
Good luckwith the sale! -
I've just seen this bass and it just looks so amazing!
I probably wouldn't be able to part with my bass, so just to tempt fate would you be interested in a Fender hotrodded (P/J) USA bass. 4 string, through body strung.
As I said the chances are I wouldn't trade, but I'm really feeling this bass!
Cheers, and sorry for wasting your time!
Ben -
And you're only getting 170/180 watts, the speaker is an 8 ohm, so won't draw the full 300 watts specified at 4 ohms.
Great little amp, I've had one for 4 years and it's been awesome.
For purpose of your sale it might be wise to give an idea of where it was made, and what year. There have a been a few problems in the past with the chinese ones.
Price is very much too high unless this is brand brand new, you havn't specified how old, how heavily gigged etc.
An idea of condition would be a good thing - some pictures is the best way of doing this.
Good luck with the sale, if you have troubles selling it set do what I did: take the head out of the combo and build a case for it, then use a small cab. This would drive a nice little 1/10 cab quite tidily.
All the best,
Ben -
Might help your saleif you mention if they're active or passive.
I'd be very interested if I wasn't so far way! -
I've got a Aria Platinum Drive pedal that I'm not using much at the moment.
I'd be up for a trade with some cash your way.
I've just put a new valve in it, with only an hour or so's use.
This is a really powerful pedal, runs off mains!
Let me know if you're interested.
Don't listen to them, cream pick up covers are the devils work, next they will be telling you to get a tort scratch plate.
Awesome looking bass though mate.
I'd go gold or mirror with this one! -
Playing technique gets in the way.... and it's a load of extra pollishing to do! I hate house work!
This could be a good thing - I might just get some to put on my shelf to look nice! -
Very very nice bass... I've got one of these too!
Don't think i'll ever get rid of ine - the only difference is that I have a red tort pickguard and some EMG's in mine - Sounds and looks absolutey amazing!
Good luck with the sale.
Ben -
Where abouts are you from... and could you give us a rough price: being a bassist I'm just the middle man between me and the guitarist!
Cheers,
Ben -
Just bought a Red Pickguard off Matt, great price and product. He evn posted it in time for a gig!
Many thanks Matt.
Ben -
Just thought I should ask the previous question for anyone who needs a set!
Also, nowhere on the specification did it specify what size speakers these have.... I'm presuming 15"
Cheers,
P.s just so it's clear, I cannot afford to buy these! -
Do these come with stands?
Cheers,
Ben -
I'd just like to say thank you for being such a good bloke.
Would definately do deals with in the future,
Cheers Howard -
Are they 'Humbug'ing pups...
Don't worry, I've got my coat on already! -
Bump... still go these, and they're not doing much!
-
What's wrong with Elites? I share the same opinion, lighter strings are nicer - just curious as to why you do like them, as I havn't really tried any other strings!
Cheers -
Stringstar.com is a brand new site too, seems to be the only UK stockist I can find for Pyramid Gold flats, possibly the most awesomest flats in the world.
Quite impressive prices!
And free postage!
Not the greatest selection for bass though, and no offers for buying more than one set!
Good spot BTW! -
UK made too - not a bad amp for the money!
-
I've just had a look at online prices, and All I can say is: THIS IS A BARGAIN!
If these havn't sold in a few days I'll be on your tail - I just don't play my acoustic bass enough! -
I remember only 7 months ago these were fetching 200 quid no problems!
Someone is going to get a steal! -
I like the way they just quietly sell strings, efficiently at a good price, and don't feel the need to make a big noise about how important customer service is to them in every paragraph they print - that kind of stuff really irks me now.
I agree, they're so chilled out yet on the ball!

I'm afraid the only cab I've got has the speakers in, and despite my love for money I can't afford to sell them!
They're Eminence 200W 8ohms - quite similar to the deltalites infact, but with a (lower - not certain on this) different power rating.
Thanks for the bump~!
