    MB1.
A second hand readymade will probably work out cheaper in the long run!
Will definately have a better resale value.
    Check out a used...

    This

unless you specifically want to build it there is no point (and it will take much longer than you think to put it together)

I considered importing these about 6 years ago and the samples I received were nothing special.

Haven't seen this before, but looks perfect for young master discreet's upcoming birthday present - electronic drums.
If you get one let us know what it's like - I'll do the same. :)

Didn't get to try one out at the shop as they were mail order only. So I passed on it.

  4. Surely dedication to playing music is how you become proficient and good at it? You should be applauded for that.
However if you feel it is taking over your life and not providing enjoyment and fulfillment then sack it off. I have done many times only to return to it some time later with a fresh outlook.

To put this into perspective my brother practices piano around 4 - 6 hours a day in order to become good at what he does.

    It's pop.

Pop isn't just about the music or the performance. In fact it has nothing much to do with music or performance, it's about the cult of celebrity, hype and the necessity to make a crapload of doubloons before the Golden Goose gets constipation.

Punters didn't go to the Radio 1 gig to appreciate music or a vocal performance, they went to see Pharrell Williams' hat. Get over it.

Exactly, and with 7 Grammy awards and $80m behind him everything he touches turns to gold...

I did enjoy his earlier work when he was just producing as the Neptunes and his N.E.R.D stuff.

  6. I think the named stuff is still doing OK, as are good quality sub £200 'starter basses' ( I hate that phrase)
The problem seems to be with mid range quality basses that have bottomed out in value and are not seen as either an 'investment' or cheap enought to have a punt on.

I recently advertised a bass at £295 (current model in production at over £750 new) with no interest whatsover.
Thankfully I do not need to sell it and I won't be giving it away so it has gone under the bed.

  7. Nice bass, can't see this lasting long
