An almost unlimited tonal range. Plays beautifully. has a few minor scratches on the rear of the body, just playing wear. This is one of the earlier Active basses not to be confused with the later and cheaper DX models. Vintage V1004 Features:

Body: Mahogany Wings
Top: Spalted Birds Eye Maple
Neck: 5-Ply Thru-Neck - Nato/Maple/Nato/Maple/Nato, maple/walnut (DX)
Fingerboard: Rosewood
Scale: 34"/864mm
Frets: 24
Neck Inlays: Pearloid Dot
Tuners: Wilkinson® WJB150
Bridge: Adjustable/ Raised Tail
Pickups V1004: Wilkinson® Single Coil x 1/ Double Coil x 1 (M) WJBE900 ( WSME4
Hardware: Gold
Controls: 1 x Volume/ 1 x Balance/ Active Treble/ Active Bass
Will ship anywhere in the UK by courier, tracked and insured. 5. PRICE REDUCED - WILL ACCEPT £1295 FOR THIS BASS!!!!!
 6.
That is a lovely bass. Just out of interest, as not looking to buy, are both pickups on all the time, or are the two controls volume/volume?
Yes, you're correct - volume/volume
 7.
I'm confused. This is advertised twice, by two slightly different usernames...?
It's the same person...I was having trouble with this account (my content had disappeared temporarily for some reason) and I couldn't upload pics so I set up a different account. Apologies for the confusion. If I knew how to delete content I would have removed the original post.

 9. PRICE REDUCED ON THIS BASS - £1550 or near offer. Will also consider a part=ex deal.
 10.
Rob, What sort of thing will you trade against - Makes, Models, Amps?
I appreciate it's quite an expensive bass for anyone to purchase but I need to free up some cash so if it helps I'd take cash plus something else. I'm not really looking for anything specific, just something that may interest me - I could do with a compact cab to handle a 4-8ohm 300w head - something light and portable...or a decent standard P bass - preferably american but would consider something else.

 13. Reluctantly having to sell my beloved Fender Custom Shop Custom P Bass. This is a complete one off that I've just had authenticated by Fender. In Fender's own words: "There’s no order number in there so this was probably made for the artist and not run through the system in the normal way. Because it’s pretty much a one off I don’t have any specs I can give you, but we would say it’s a genuine 1994 Custom Shop “Custom Precision Bass”. I bought this about 10 or so years ago from Gary Day who was, until recently, Morrisey's bass player. He had bought it from a shop in LA whilst touring, gigged with it and bought it back to the UK. it's a beauty with P & J pick-ups and I've fitted a BadAss 3 bridge to it - but I still have the original vintage style bridge and cover. There's a few marks on the back of the neck but it plays beautifully. It comes with a hard case. I can send more pics to those interested. I'm looking for £1695 ono

 15.
I had one almost exactly like this back in 2000/1, and until now it's the only one I've ever seen. Mine had dual concentric pots (vol/tone for each pickup) and I've always regretted getting rid of it as it was lovely. Ho hum!
There was a Custom Shop Special Edition in 2001. This is a one-off and I know I'm going to regret getting rid of it but needs must at the moment.
 16. I would consider a Part Exchange with a regular P Bass...
